CHAPTER XLIII

ℂ𝕒𝕤𝕤𝕒𝕟𝕕𝕣𝕒'𝕤 ℙ𝕠𝕧;

The days passed quickly and in no time it was my last class of dark magic. It somehow saddened me, I don't know why or what saddened me but it just made my heart hurt just a little bit. As we completed the session, Isobel congratulated me.

I went up in my room as soon as the class ended and looked for Derek, I wanted to tell him that I had aced it also i just felt like telling every small detail of my life that makes me happy to share it with him. We had grown closer more then we were at the beginning of all this.

Atleast we were awkward as much as we were before and I really appreciated that. As I entered the bedroom and went in I saw Derek standing in the balcony and watching outside. I went and stood beside him.

"Hey" he said.

"Hii" I replied with a small smile.

"Umm....I completed my dark magic classes today was the last." I said after a long pause.

"That's amazing we should celebrate!!" He said and something in me clicked which made me more happy about it.

"Yeah, I thinking about lifting up the sun curse tomorrow!" I said my heart.

"You shouldn't overuse your powers!" He said concern visible in his voice.

"It's going to be fine, I just want to check everything I have learnd." I said and we stood there in comfortable silence.

"Cassie, do you want to go on a date with me? Like a proper couple?" He asked.

It caught me off guard and I looked directly into his blue orbs. They held nothing else then sincerity, and care. It didn't take me another minute to answer, "I would love that!" I said and he smiled in response.

"His royal highness, his majesty is looking for you" a gaurd informed.

"I'll take my leave then..." Derek said and left. I still stood in the now empty balcony and watched the distant glass garden. It always fascinated me and people said that the garden have many doors and some of them can lead you to places you have never even imagined existed, someday I will go and see it for my self.

But till now I am going to work on lifting the curse. I watched the sky which had now turned into a darker color of grey. After staying there for a little more while I retreated back in the room and showered. Then I climbed in the bed and watched something on my laptop. I was watching it only when I heard the door open I thought it was Derek so I ignored.

But to my surprise it was Evelyn, I was going to get up when she signalled me to be seated. She had a huge grin on her face.

"So, I heard you are going on a date with Derek like an actual couple...." She said.

"Yeah but how did you know that?" I asked.

"I have my ways, now leave it tell me what you have plan for this 'Date'." She asked.

"I haven't given it much of a thought but I guess whatever it will be it will be good." I said rawly.

"Now that have to change!" She said.

"What?"

"You being completely fine with everything, you need to start throwing tantrums and make demands after all you are the princess of Devlocsea." She said determined.

"Okay" I laughed at the statement.

"So let's start with your outfit. Wait when is the date again?" She asked.

"I don't know I have asked much about it" I said and she nodded in response.

"We are going shopping tomorrow! And this is a comand so you have obey it" she said and I nodded my head while taking inn what she had said.

She then quickly left saying that she only will ha e to plan the date. I continued watching my movie by the time Derek came it was nearly dinner so as he got freshed we went down for dinner.

We kept small talks and i told them that I was done with dark magic lessons and they all congratulated me. After dinner we went back to our room and I looked around for my necklace, my mother had given it to me before leaving last time and I had kept it somewhere now I couldnt find. Derek noticed and asked, "what are you finding?"

"The necklace my mother gave me, the one with the ring on it!" I elaborated.

"I last saw it in the bathroom while bathing." He answered.

I quickly ran to the bathroom and checked and he was right it was in the jwellery stand. I came out with it in my hand.

Derek came close to me and took the necklace away and asked me if he could and I allowed, he moved my hairs forward and put the necklace on my neck, the cold metal sending shiver down my spin, as he locked it, his fingers brushed my neck, they were warm and even it was just a few seconds it had already imprinted it's warmed on me.

We sat by the sofa and he scrolled through his phone where as I called Mike.

"Hey Mike, sorry we didn't talked and met up actually there were some hurdles on my end." I said looking at Derek.

"It's totally fine, but you know I will be back I town next week so we can plan something out!" He said.

"Yeah sure let's do that" I said.

He asked me to meet up on Wednesday next week in a cafe and from there we could decide what we wanted to do.

"Why'd you called him?" Derek asked.

"Because last time we could meet so I wanted to make it up to him and also I get bored doing nothing all day long." I said.

"You never ask me for company!" He stated.

"Derek.....are you jelous??" I tried my hardest to but back my laugh.

"No" he said but it was too late I had already known. I finally bursted out laughing and Derek looked at me as if I had lost my Mind.
Later that night I cuddled up to him and slept very comfortably in his arms, they gave me a sense of safety.

ℕ𝕖𝕩𝕥 𝔻𝕒𝕪;

I woke up and saw that Derek was already gone. I got dressed and went down and saw him sitting on the table and scrolling through his emails. I went and too my seat and we had breakfast, after breakfast I chated with Dahlia.

It was finally the time I was waiting for, the time I will lift the curse and make this place sunny again.

I took the spell book Isobel gave me and we all came out I prepared everything for the ritual and started chanting the words written on the grimore.

It went on like this for another 20 minute, the process was very slow and it took alot of energy. Finally the sky was turning a lighter shade of blue. After 15 more minutes of chating small glimpse of sun had started to apper. And by the next 1p minutes the whole sky erupted with light and the sun back. I smiled and went and hugged Derek as me appreciated me and then everything went black.

The last thing I heard was Derek calling my name and then cursing and lifted me up.
