We walked through the garden and chatted. When mother had to get ready for a charity ball. But before going, she told me she had called some Lady-in-waiting for me. So that I won't get bored.
Then I went back to the palace. And saw that all the maids and servants were decorating the place. When I saw Emily near my room, also decorating. So I asked her "what are you guys doing?"
"We are decorating the castle for the gala this evening." She said.
"What? Today is a gala! Oh my God, what will I wear?? I didn't buy any of my gowns. BTW, what occasion is it today?" I asked.
"His highness is throwing this gala because you came back home from human realm all safe and sounded. And for the dresses, don't worry. Your highness," she said.
"First call me Cassandra and second, why shouldn't I worry about my dress? I have nothing to wear." I said.
"Okay Cassandra, and her highness already asked the designers to bring some good Royal gowns for you. Come, let me take you there." She said and directed me the way.
She took me to the room beside my mother's room. Where I saw lashings of gowns all so beautiful. Then a tall man came into my view.
"Your highness, these are the gowns which we have decided and that gown over there is the one that Her highness chose for you. She said that if you like one, wear it for the gala tonight." He said, pointing a gown at the back of the room. It was the most beautiful one. It was a golden color.
"I loved that. I will wear that only in the gala tonight!" I said in total aw after seeing it.

It was around 4:30 pm and the gala was at 7 o'clock, so I went to the bathroom. I took a long nice shower. When I came out, I saw Emily, now my personal maid, standing with 2 more young girls.
"Your high-I mean Cassandra, please come and sit here so we can start your makeup." She said, and I obediently went and sat there.
After, exactly one and a half hour later they were done and didn't even let me see. it just asked me to wear the dress. After Emily pulling my corset, the zillion time to tie it down, I finally wore it, then I wore my 4inch heels. I went to the full-length mirror in my room to see myself. And I couldn't even recognize the person who was staring at me.

"Oh my god I can't even recognize myself. I look like a totally different person. Thank you guys!" I said and saw that the two girls left. Only Emily was there now.
"You truly look beautiful Cassandra! Now you must take your leave, you are already late than the expected time!" She said and I quickly looked at the time and saw that it was already 7:30 so I hugged her and left and made my way to the Hall.
The guards announced me and opened the doors of the Hall. Which I haven't been to in the past 11 years. I went in and saw my mom and dad, drinking their champagne and looking at me. Then my uncle and aunt came next to me and took me to them.
"You look gorgeous!" Aunt said.
"And ravishing!" Uncle added.
Then I bowed in front of my parents and my mom hugged me. "Darling you look heavenly!" My mom whispered in my ear.
"You look lovely darling!" My father said.
We chatted for a while. I had a couple of champagne but not so much that I won't be able to see. Then some other relatives who I don't even remember came and talked to me and told me how much they missed me even though I don't think I ever met them.
"May I have this dance your highness." A young blond tall guy asked me, extending his hand towards me.
"Yes" I said and we went to the center of the Hall.
"Didn't know that the princess was an expert in dancing also!" He commented.
"Well I am a girl with many talents." I said.
"You were gravely missed here....its been years since I have seen his highness and her highness so happy and jolly." He said looking at mom and dad.
"What was it like when the war ended?" I asked.
"Tough and Dark, everything became dull and it took around 3 years to bring the kingdom back to how it was but his and her highness were no more the same. Yeah they were as generous and all but deep down they were missing you. Once his highness even went to the human realm to bring you back but he didn't because he wanted you to be back at the right time." He said.
"Really? I never knew and if it wasn't for you I would have not known in the future. What is your name?" I asked
"Bash your highness! Now I must take my leave I got some other people to meet. But it was a pleasure to dance with you." He said and kissed the back of my hand and left.
