When I made it home, I was pissed off to say the least. Zack had given me a pep talk, making anger grow towards Jay rather than self-pity. I slammed the front door walking in, only to find no one was home to hear my rage. Instantly, I took this to my advantage.

I did what any other pissed off, heartbroken "other girl" would do. I trashed his room.

It felt good getting this pent up emotion out that I'd been feeling since school ended. Jay walked past me in the hall with that girl on his arm, but I didn't do as much as glance at him. I wouldn't give him the satisfaction of letting him see that I actually cared. Resting bitch face was on.

I cut holes in all his clothes, smashed his laptop and basically broke anything that he owned in my house. Delilah must have been home and I didn't realise as she walked in holding a kitchen knife, probably assuming I was an intruder.

"Holy moley Val, you gave me a heart attack! I thought someone had broke in!" She yelled, I ignored her comment and kept smashing shit.

"Is mum home?" I asked nonchalantly as I examined his phone charger and started trying to break the chord.

"No, but I am...what did that charger ever do to you?"

"It's a cheating fuck." I said and I gave up, "could I borrow that knife?"

She rolled her eyes and gave it to me, letting me cut the chord in half. "Did that satisfy your needs?"

I gave a small delusional laugh as I walked over to his bathroom and squeezed all his toothpaste into the sink. "Val I think you need to stop, come to the living room, we'll watch Tangled and eat ice-cream." She knew how to get my attention. I reluctantly put his shaving cream down and walked out of the room, satisfied with my work.

Later that evening, Delilah and I were talking and laughing like we hadn't in a long time. We were now watching Scott Pilgrim vs the World and I was laughing hysterically at one of the evil ex's.

We both heard the door open and close along with the jingle of keys. "Mum?" my sister yelled into the hallway.

"Close enough." Said Jay back. My heart quickened and I intensely started to watch the film, not even taking notice of the figure at the end of the couch. "Hey! I love this movie! Can I watch?"

Delilah looked at me but said nothing, seeing if I was okay. "I think you should go get dinner. You want some Val?"

I could feel his smirk burning into me along with the blood rushing to my face. I kept calm and replied quieter than I would have preferred with a simple "No thanks."

Out of the corner of my eye I saw him shrug and walk into the kitchen to rummage through our cupboards for food. Neither Delilah or I said a word, I could tell she felt uncomfortable with the tension so I looked at her and pat her on the back, signalling that she could go. This wasn't her problem and she definitely didn't need the stress. She smiled apologetically and scurried off.

I was now alone with Jay in the next room, I could tell how proud he was of himself but I couldn't wait for him to get to his room. I turned off the movie and put it back in its case, waiting for him to leave the kitchen so I could put the ice cream back.

After five minutes of cleaning the movie, he was still in there cooking what smelled like instant Ramen. I took a deep breath, grabbed the ice cream and went to put it back in the fridge. I could feel him turn to look at me when I entered the kitchen, obviously thinking I wouldn't go near him.

I felt a hand snake around my waist and his body press up to the next of mine.

"Whats wrong, Angel?" He whispered in my ear. I ignored him and put the ice cream back in the freezer, pulling myself out of his grip. "You know you can't stay mad at me"

"I beg to differ." I replied as I walked away from him.
