"What the hell was that?!" asked Jay as he stormed into my room. I was lying on my stomach with a text book open and my music playing in the back ground.

"I don't know what you mean." I said innocently, not bothering to look up at him.

"You can't just be all hot and cold on me! It fucking screws with my head!"

"Oh? The bad boy can't handle me?" I looked up at him through my lashes and smirked.

"Just...do you like me? Yes or no? Simple answer."

"I think I've made my point, doing that was the only way to get your attention." I shrugged best I could as I was propped up on my elbows.

"Agh! Your so infuriating!" he said storming out. But then came back to the door frame. Talk about indecisive. "And you didn't answer my question. I could take it as a yes for all I know."

"Dude, you would know if I meant yes."

"It seemed like a yes in the janitor's closet." My smirk faded, is he that thick? Or just screwing with me? He saw my face and gave me that hot half smile thing guys do. Wait, no. It's not hot on him. It's freaking annoying.

"It's a no, now piss off. I'm doing homework." I muttered, throwing my pencil case at him. I hear him say something along the lines of 'goodie two shoes' but I ignored it.

A few minutes later my phone started ringing. 'Hey! Hey! Life ain't fair! Three in the air if you just don't care!' started to play.

"Hello?" I asked as the number was blocked.

"Hey, It's me, Zack?" well that was fast...it's been what? eight hours since he got my number?

"Oh hi, what's up?" I asked, standing up to turn my music down. I sat back down on my bed, hugging one knee to my chest.

"Nothing much, um, do you want to go out tonight? If you're free of course."

"Yeah, I am. I'm just doing homework."

"Cool, I'll pick you up at 5?" his voice said, trailing into a question. I checked the clock on my bedside draw. 4:30. Shit.

"Yeah, that's good. Where are you taking me?"

"That's for me to know and you to find out."

"Aw, come on! Please!"

"Nup, see you at 5. Meet you outside your apartment block." He said and hung up. Damn, I hate not knowing things. May as well get ready.

Now, I'm not the type of girl to take hours getting ready but I do take like twenty minutes. I quickly skimmed my chest of draws, looking for clothes to wear.

I settled on shorts and a t-shirt with some print on the front. I'm not the kind of person to really get dressed up for this stuff. I ran my fingers through my hair, flipping it over my shoulder.

I quickly stopped in Delilah's room and told her that I was hanging out with friends. She nodded, not really caring and said she'd tell mum when she got home.

I ran to the one bathroom this apartment had which was very frustrating. I put on barely any make-up and as I did I saw Jay standing in the doorway.

I finished and turned to go out the door, trying to push past him but he completely blocked my way. I crossed my arms and stood in front of him.

"Move? Please? I'm going out."

"Zack?" he asked, looking down at me.

"Yep. Not that it's any of your concern." I said as I attempted to push past again.

"It is actually, I want you and you're going out with another guy. One of my friends, that's a low blow, Val." I shrugged and I finally shouldered my way past him. "Come on, babe, I can give you so much more than him," he said pulling me to a halt, he stood behind me and slowly wrapped his arms around me. "Trust me on that..." he whispered in my ear. I was tempted to stay like this and jump him, well, if he was anyone else (that isn't annoying and isn't Jay) I would cause he sure knew how to put the moves on me, but I simply pushed him off and kept walking. My breathing was heavy which, sadly, he picked up on.

"You liked that didn't you, angel? I can give you so much more, just let me show you, give me a chance." He said following me to the door.

"Stay out of my love life; you have no place in it." I said opening it and stepping out.

"But I am, and you know it. Not as much as I want to be, but enough for you to want what I can give you."

"You can give me nothing, asshole." I said as I walked away from him. I still had five minutes but I didn't want to wait in this house with Jay. He would just piss me off.

I had many mental images of how I could kill him and frame it on Delilah. He's just so...so...arrogant! And annoying! And I just want to freaking kill him!

"Who do you want to kill?" asked a voice that was coming towards me. I looked up to see Zack and blushed uncontrollably. Was I talking to myself? About killing Jay? Heh, maybe I am going insane.

"Jay, he's pissing me off." He chuckled at me and rolled his eyes.

"Don't worry, he pisses everyone off, try not to let him ruin the night." He said as he came to stand in front of me.

"Speaking of...where are we going?" he linked his fingers with mine and we started walking away from the apartment block. My heart rate picked up about a million beats and I couldn't help but smile nonstop.

"It's a surprise, but its close enough to walk to."

"Well I don't know the area so I wouldn't know, would I?"

"Yeah, I thought about that, so that's why this is perfect and you don't know where I'm taking you."

"I hate you." I muttered.

"You won't be saying that after tonight, promise." He squeezed my hand. I nodded as we kept walking down the road that I had no idea where it would lead. He could be taking me to his rape lair for all I know, although I highly doubted it from the way he looked.

He looked pretty average, other than the fact that he is pretty hot. With blonde hair and dark blue eyes, he was almost as hot as Jay.

Ten minutes later we were standing outside a cinema, he bought my ticket despite my protests. When we made into the dim room, we picked seats right up the back and I readied myself for a good night.
