𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗧𝗪𝗢
𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗡 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗛𝗔𝗧The streets of Tokyo were crowded. It was worse since it was currently evening - the time people were getting off work or leaving to head home. It wasn't long before Karma felt everyone get into her personal bubble, and it took all her self-control to not push them away from her. Karma despited crowds. They made her feel trapped and confined.
She gripped onto her belongings tightly but remained stone-faced. She could feel people glancing at her. After all, it wasn't every day a foreigner with designer bags just showed up out of nowhere.
Japan was getting colder, as winter approached. People wore darker clothes and walked with friends or family. Yet, Karma was naturally a very bright-looking individual, with rich accessories and a strong stance, and she was alone in doing so.
For a young woman who was planning on remaining inconspicuous in Japan, Karma was doing a horrible job at that. Luckily for her, the people automatically assumed she was important, so they gave her space.
On the opposite side of the crosswalk, she could see an extremely tall high schooler surrounded by multiple schoolgirls. He looked around her own age and stood out like a sore thumb. The two have that in common. Except he didn't stand out for being necessarily bright. Actually, it was the opposite.
He looked like another delinquent, judging from his modified school uniform, and the way he yelled at the girls hovering near him. He was scarily tall, with sharp features and dark hair that seemed to blend in with his hat.
Now, Karma usually didn't pay any attention to boys, so what made this high schooler so different?
For one, the man in the hat had a large purple humanoid spirit standing behind him. That kinda made him stand out to Karma just a little bit... Okay, he stood out to Karma a lot. She couldn't help but have her jaw momentarily drop, before composing herself.
Now Karma has seen other spirits before, and the times she has seen them have not been good.
The student's ghost had purple skin, with even darker purple floating hair. The spirit's proportions appeared to be like his user, though more muscular and taller. The ghost had minimum clothes and armor, looking like the warrior type.
Before she could observe the two anymore, the crosswalk signaled green. The effects were immediate. People began walking quickly to cross the road like mindless zombies and Karma was quick to follow.
She tried to remain calm, but her paranoia was making that hard for her. Her head was still held high as she crossed the road, analyzing the strange teenager's behavior in her mind.
