"Why not! My mom will drive us there!"
Karma glared at the young Jotaro Kujo, her normally calm face fading. Jotaro was determined to take Karma to the beach, claiming that Karma only goes to three places - her home, Jotaro's home, and the playground. He wasn't wrong.
"I don't like the ocean."
"We don't have to swim," JoJo quickly retaliated.
Karma just scowled and walked away, her footsteps loud. Her young mind already throwing a tantrum. Jotaro ran after her.
"Why don't you like the ocean?"
"I like land more." She crossed her arms, looking away.
"Well, maybe I can stay at your place instead," the Kujo boy offered.
"It's loud. You wouldn't like it."
"But-"
"I have to take care of my mom. Go without me." The young Karma stormed off, leaving a crestfallen JoJo behind.
One day later, Karma found herself with sand between her toes, watching Jotaro with a sundress and a floppy hat that was twice her size.
"I'm only staying for a few hours."

"I lied to myself... I do care about what means of transportation we use," Karma spoke to herself, holding onto the boat for dear life. She was miserable. The Crusaders were currently on board a boat, headed first to Singapore since air travel was too dangerous.
"It'll take three full days at sea to get from Hong Kong to Singapore," Joseph Joestar had told her. She was less than thrilled, but she supposed it would be a pretty voyage. "Some peace and quiet will do us all good."
Peace my ass, Karma thought sourly.
Now, Karma doesn't hate the ocean. In fact, she finds the waves extremely peaceful. She just much preferred the firm dirt under her feet rather than the shakiness of the sea. Jotaro and Kakyoin seemed to be doing great, however. The young men were lounging on chairs, with Kakyoin even reading a book. Karma was holding the ship's rails tightly, in between them.
