After a length of time of falling that felt like years to Brian, his body suddenly became excruciatingly cold and wet. He landed in an underground pool of water. Brian quickly swam up to the surface and looked around for Keldeo. After a while of looking, he found Keldeo collapsed on the ground next to the water.

Brian swam over to Keldeo and investigated his injuries. He seemed to have hurt his back leg. Brian sighed and took out the masterball from his pokéball belt. "Keldeo, return," Brian said quietly. He looked around to investigate his surroundings, and when he looked up, he saw nothing but darkness. How deep did I fall? He wondered.

"KYHAAAAAA!" A loud roar came from behind Brian, followed by a giant pulse of electric energy just missing him. He stood up and turned around to find out what just happened. Standing behind Brian was the massive, bulky, Black, mutilated Kyurem. It was another one of the DNA Splicers' creations.

Brian jumped to his feet and reached for a pokéball. Okay. Azurill is my only hope, he thought. He took out Azurill's pokéball and threw it towards the battlefield. In a bright flash, the tiny blue pokémon appeared in front of Kyurem. The battle began.

Brian gave his command, "Azurill use bubblebeam!" The tiny blue pokémon hesitantly shot out a blast of bubbles at the massive mutant. It barely affected Black Kyurem. The mutant pokémon started to charge up some sort of attack.

"Azurill, use protect!" A faint blue transparent wall appeared in front of Azurill. Kyurem finished gathering energy and blasted a devastating beam of bright blue energy at Azurill. Luckily, the protect worked. But, from the shock of a near death experience, Azurill became unable to move. Kyurem then quickly, noticing its advantage, attacked with another powerful attack. Its arm started to glow white, and then smashed right into Azurill. The tiny blue pokémon flew backwards across the cave and smashed into a rock. Azurill was definitely knocked out.

"Azurill!" Brian yelled. He took out Azurill's pokéball and, in a flash of red light, Azurill retreated to his pokéball. Now, without any more pokémon, Brian tried to run from Kyurem. He ran down a dark corridor and stopped at a wall. It was a dead end. Kyurem was trailing loudly behind Brian.

"KYHAAAAAAA!" Black Kyurem roared in frustration and threw an attack at Brian. The attack missed by a mile. Azurill's bubblebeam attack gave Kyurem confusion! Brian thought. This is my chance!

Brian swiftly ran around Kyurem and down another rocky corridor. He heard something behind him, and figured that it was just Kyurem running after him, but he was wrong. A massive bright beam of energy blasted down the corridor and through Brian's chest. It was too quick and sudden to dodge. He collapsed suddenly onto the ground.

The trainer woke up in a strange place, feeling fine. There was nothing in the strange area he was in, except for white. It was very quiet too. That was about it. Just white as far as the eye could see. Where am I? Where did everything go? Brian thought to himself. All I remember is running down that path in the cave and- Oh. Brian recalled Kyurem's attack. He thought about what to do. He then remembered about Keldeo and quickly reached for its masterball. It was gone, along with Azurill's pokéball. Brian was alone.
----------
After Brian and Keldeo fell down into the cave, Frankie, Virizion, Terrakion, and Sharla all made their way out of the burning tree. After the fire was put out, the cave walls collapsed, blocking anyone from entering or escaping. Everyone was worried, but determined to help their fellow teammate and his pokémon as much as possible. The team got to work.

First, everyone started by cleaning up the area around the cave entrance. Next, they started to dig the rubble out from the entrance of the cave. Then, after they were halfway done, they needed to get rest because it was nighttime already.. Everyone slept until early the next morning when they continued working on opening the cave.

After about an entire day of labor, the cave entrance was opened. All that was left to do was to make a way to get up and down easily. Luckily, Sharla had some strong, long rope that could hoist people and pokémon up from the bottom with ease. After the rope was secured, the group entered the deep, dark cave in search of Brian and Keldeo.
