I thought I saw you in the hall that day
shiny hair and bright white teeth

I loved your smile
it made my day
but nowadays
It'll wash it away

I thought I saw you in the hall that day
your colorful backpack and shoes

I too once thought the world was full of color
that was,
until I knew you
