stomach dropped
I know something's coming
a tense ringing
starts to fill the airthen its silence
and everything amounts to nothingmy hearts quaking
to the beat of the drum
in my heartthe sweet metallic taste of blood fills my mouth
it burns my lungs
red wine gone downmy body quivers
an avalanche under my skin
and I don't know what to do
except let it out
red wine and all
drenching my hands
through it allthen I look to you
as your lips finish forming the words
and I don't know what to say except
"ok"ok
that's all I say
ok
what on earth could I do?
ok
my mind and heart and soul are now numb
and my red wine
has gone to wastea/n: this came to me in a song but I don't have the phone storage to record it, so I decided to share it as a poem. Hope you enjoy!
