the constant drizzle of the rain wraps its arms around me, hugging my body close, warming me from the shivering cold that it itself had caused, apologetic, but willing to change
it murmers against my hair "you're safe here in this embrace, no one can hurt you, not even yourself" and tries to shush the roar of the wind in my ears
thunder and lightning highfive and joke, and the laughing tears of the sea join as the world explodes
and in the small stretch of silence, before the drizzle can begin once more, I feel the weight of the world upon me, right down to the core and the wind suddenly breaks free from the hold of the rain, and the blanket of the drizzle gets yanked off my frame and the laughter of the sea turns to sob at me and the lightning and thunder start to argue and soon everything is broken as I start to sew, sew back the stitches ripped from when the rug was pulled out, and the stitches I made, made myself

...then the drizzle of the rain wraps its arms around me, hugging my body close, warming me from the shivering cold that it itself had caused...
