contente

two small pieces of silver
intertwined in an embrace
wrapped around eachother
with such beautiful grace

one twists that way
the other one follows
its a dance of two partners
without many sorrows

they shine brightly
each reflecting of the other
emanating light across the room
showing it off to other lovers

this light somehow finds
a small piece of metal
who sits alone once more
counting all the petals

its been a long time since they last danced with a partner
long time since love
things have been kinds lonely
and they're far from above

maybe one day when two hands meet
the little ring will greet
someone they can keep

for now tho,
they'll contently wait,
exploring the beauty of
dancing on their own
