The morning arrived with Fabian knocking on her door,
"Sunshine little dove. The sun is shining brightly, and the table is set with your favorite blueberry pancakes, topped with exquisite butter and freshly brewed coffee." He merrily declared, and the door opened. Walked out a fully dressed Judith.
"Good morning, Dad." She smiled as he glanced at her from head to toe. She was dressed in her black pilot uniform with a white shirt under a double-breasted suit jacket. She had her silver wing on the left side of her chest over her nameplate and four silver stripes on the edge of her sleeves. Judith wore her hair back in a low bun and wore very minimal makeup. She carried her cap under her arm and carried a pilot bag with all of her essentials in her hand. Her father's eyes twinkled with pride as she smiled at him.
"Dad, you should not have made breakfast. I was going to do it." She said sternly, her eyes narrowed at him.
"Come on, I know you love my blueberry pancakes." He declared as he led her to the small table. "You didn't tell me you were leaving, dear?" Sitting down, he asked.
Judith raised her head, putting her bag and cap down on the floor.
"I'm sorry, I got a mail from them last night and you were fast asleep when I arrived home." As she delved into the platter of pancakes, she said and he nodded.
"When are you going to return home?" He asked
"I'm not sure," He nodded once again as she responded.
"How did your date with Owen go?" He inquired, and she raised her head glancing at him, and returned her eyes to the platter of food.
"It was fine. He's on his way to pick me up."
"You don't seem happy about it," he remarked, and she gave him a glance.
"It's not like that, Dad. I just have a bad feeling about today." Fabian looked at her as she voiced her thoughts.
"Why? Do you have a bad feeling about flying today?" He inquired, confused.
"No, they called me at the Headquarters." She sighed as she sipped her coffee. "And I'm not sure why." She remarked while putting down her coffee.
"Don't worry, you will be fine." With a warm smile and a nod, he assured her.

The doorbell rang as Judith was putting away the dishes after they had finished their breakfast.
"I'll get it," Fabian told her and proceeded to open the door. He pulled the door open, and Owen, dressed in a suit, looked up.
"Mr. Callahan! How are you doing, Sir?" He asked,
"Briar," Fabian responded with a stiff nod.
Judith dried her hands with a towel and walked to the door where her father and Owen were conversing. As Judith arrived, Owen stole a glance over Fabian's shoulder.
"Dad,"
"Be safe, sweetheart. And don't worry every day will be fine." He muttered as he drew her in for a hug.
"Please take care of yourself. Eat healthy, no junks, no running marathons, no sleepless nights working, no cigar and no alcohol." They pulled away from the hug and she sternly instructed. Fabian lifted his palm in surrender as she scowled.
"I won't, promise."
"I'll try to come home as soon as I can." She said with a sad smile and he caressed her face.
"I'm going to be alright. Fly safe." He said softly, smiling, and she walked out the door.
"Young man, drop her off safely," Fabian stated sternly as Owen stiffened in his seat.
"I will, sir. Take care of yourself." Owen replied politely, and Fabian nodded.
"Goodbye, Dad." They said their goodbyes as Judith and Owen went out of the complex building.
"You look stunning." Owen complimented her and she glanced at him raising her brows.
"In this uniform?"
"Yeah, you look smoking hot." Judith chuckled as Owen winged. Owen pulled the car door open and Judith slipped inside. Owen softly closed the door and walked around to take the wheel, and they began driving down the suburb towards the airport.

Judith noticed a little travel suitcase on the back seat and glanced at Owen,
"Are you going somewhere?" She inquired.
"Yeah, my boss is going to New York for a meeting and requested me to accompany him this morning." He informed her, and she nodded.
Owen works as a project manager for a major corporation, and he earns enough money to pay his bills and still has enough money to lead a fun life. Owen and Judith had started dating when she had recently joined Delta Airlines after leaving the Air Force and Owen was a business analyst. He worked hard, and he was promoted to project manager as a reward for his efforts.
"What did my father say to you?" Judith inquired.
"A lot of things that I'm not willing to say or hear again." Judith laughed as he shivered in his seat.
"It couldn't possibly have been that dreadful!"
"All I wanted to do was run!" Judith chuckled as Owen exclaimed, "And here I was thinking he liked me!"
"He did. Before you had decided to dump me." Judith said in a teasing tone and saw his face drop.
"I guess I have one more person to apologize to." He sighed, his voice tinged with remorse for his actions in the past.
"You really do!"

They soon reached the airport and Owen parked the car and after taking his suitcase, they walked into the airport together.
"What time is your flight?" Judith inquired, and Owen glanced down at his wristwatch.
"In about two hours."
"What will you do checking in now?" Judith inquired, wearing her cap.
"I'll wait." With a bright smile, he said, and they walked in.
"So this is goodbye." Owen sighed as Judith turned around.
"I'll be back soon."
"Don't forget to respond to my texts when you get time. I'll be waiting for you." As he spoke, his voice was gentle, and she smiled, "I will." He drew her in for a kiss and soon parted away.
As she walked away, he stood with his hand in his pocket. Judith came to a halt and looked back to see Owen staring at her; she waved her hand and walked away. After checking in, she was soon boarding a plane of Delta Airlines to Atlanta, Georgia.

Judith sighed as she closed the magazine and set it on the table in front of her. It had been a few hours since she arrived at the Delta Airlines headquarters and she was told to wait in the waiting area. She looked around and fiddled with her phone while waiting for someone to call her. Time passed slowly as she became frustrated and bored.
"Judith!" She raised her head when she heard a voice and footsteps approaching her. She rose up as she noticed the middle-aged man in a suit coming to her.
"Mr. Helix!" He motioned her towards the office rooms after she welcomed him.
"Let's go, Ms. Smith is waiting for you," Helix spoke out, and Judith looked at him with startled eyes.
"The Joanne Smith?" Helix nodded as she exclaimed. "What does the Chief Human Resources Officer want with me?" Judith inquired astounded.
"You and I will both find out soon," Helix replied quietly as he led them to the elevator.
They came to a halt in front of an office after passing through several corridors and offices. Helix knocked on the door and a voice answered,
" Come in,"
Helix pushed the door open and gestured for Judith to enter. Helix softly closed the door as he stood by the wooden door.
"Good afternoon, Ms. Smith." Joanne looked up from the file in her hand as Judith addressed her. Judith's eyes widened slightly as she recognized the woman, but she swiftly concealed her reaction.
"Captain Judith Callahan! Please have a seat." Joanne motioned for her to sit down and placed the file on the table. Judith sat down in one of the vacant chairs.
"I see it's been three years since you've worked with us."
"Yes, ma'am," Judith said curtly, and Joanne nodded.
"And there have been numerous complaints filed against you throughout the years. And you have violated the company protocols countless times. " Judith grimaced as Joanne lifted her brows.
"I believe you have mistaken ma'am. I don't believe I've done anything against the protocol."
"Is that so," Joanne stated curtly as she took out a file, opened it, and shoved it towards Judith. "You've been caught drinking at work, defying aviation instructions, assaulting passengers, and there's a lot more I can mention!" As Judith went through the file, Joanne said.
"Are you still going to deny that you haven't violated any of our protocols?"
"The time and date on which I was found drinking are incorrect because I never touched alcohol or cigarette while on call, and the time and date on which I was caught drinking were when I was off duty. I once disobeyed the aviation when they told me to fly at 20,000 although the route was at 35000, and they recognized their error when I climbed to 35000 and safely landed the flight. Concerning the assault, I have the authority to arrest or restrict any passenger on board if they violate any regulations, become feral, or attempt to assault other passengers or crew. In the aforementioned example, I detained a passenger who asked to leave the plane at 35000 altitudes in air thirty minutes after takeoff. So, ma'am, with all due respect, this report and papers are forged." Judith stated curtly with a sneaky smirk, and Joanne looked uneasy in her seat.
"If that's what you believe, then so be it. Can you, however, deny your lack of professionalism with your most recent very important client? Can you deny that you were rude and arrogant while dealing with the client and that you repeatedly demanded to be sent back to your vacation?" Joanne leaned forward and asked slyly with a malicious sneer on her lips. "And can you deny that you have been w*horing yourself to that very client throughout the nights, Captain Callahan?" In an instant, Judith's hand was on Joanne's collar as she got up, shoving the chair on the ground.
"Watch your tongue, Joanne!" Judith snarled through clenched teeth, her blood boiling with wrath. "And now you've assaulted the Chief of Human Resources," Joanne smirked. "And you offered the last justification I needed," Joanne hissed as she yanked Judith's hand away from her collar. You are fired, Captain Judith Callahan."
"You filthy piece of trash! But what can I expect from a snake like you when you and they share some blood?" Judith gritted her teeth and laughed bitterly. "And-" Joanne was knocked off her feet when a powerful fist landed on her face. Judith stood up upright and stretched her arm limbs. "I've always wanted to do it since the night you abandoned me in the middle of the road, soaking in water in the middle of winter!"
"You little b*itch!" Joanne screamed, holding her now bloodied and broken nose. "It's no surprise she abandoned you!" Judith laughed as Joanne screamed.
"I'm glad she did. At the very least, I won't have to look at you and their disgusting faces." Joanne screamed again as Judith whirled back on her heel.
"I'll make sure that no other airlines hire you, b*itch!"
Judith tilted her head and glanced at the woman struggling to get to her feet.
"Oh yeah? Please do, and thank you for firing me. I'm glad I don't have work under someone like you!" Judith spun around and dashed out the door, past the stunned Helix.

"Bring me a first-aid kit!" Joanne ordered as Helix stuttered, "Y-yes ma'am." And dashed out of the door.
Joanne pulled out her phone and dialed someone,
"The work is done. She is fired." Joanne exclaimed into the phone, chuckling in response to what the person on the other end of the line and remarked. "Anything for you!"

As she walked out of the office and into the elevator, Judith was overwhelmed with rage and dread. She's relieved she won't have to work for someone like Joanne again, but she's terrified that she's now unemployed! And she knows for a fact that Joanne will make sure no one hires her. But the question is how did Joanne find out about her and Drazhan spending a night together! When no one knows except her and Drazhan!
The elevator door opened and Judith looked up to see no one but Drazhan Agnor walking out of a hallway right towards her.
"Of course!" Judith clenched her teeth, her hatred and rage boiling inside her.
