"He found me in the rehabilitation centre. He took me in as his child." Drazhan's mouth dropped slightly open, and he stared at her for a moment. All the images of Judith and Fabian played through his mind and not for a moment did he think they weren't biologically related. Even so, you don't have to be biologically related to share something as beautiful as a father-daughter bond.
"I went through so much pain both mental and physical throughout those early years of my life. I couldn't walk for months and couldn't sleep for nights on end. The nightmares of the crash kept me awake. I even had difficulty remembering things for a short period of time. My head injury had resulted in a severe migraine. I don't think I would have survived if Dad hadn't been there to support me.
Judith smiled and went on. "You know, Drazhan, before Dad came into my life, I never imagined I'd be able to feel or understand what love is. I never expected to be cared for. He appeared in my life like an angel sent from whoever exists above. I couldn't eat by myself, get out of bed, or even use the restroom. Even though Dad was extremely busy at the time, he never left me alone. He'd take me to his office, where he'd work while I played on the cushioned floor. Slowly, my wounds healed, my broken bones healed and reattached themselves, and I grew up. But, over the years, a seed of hatred and disgust germinated in my heart. And I began to despise both the scar on my leg and the woman." Judith hissed as she looked down at the jagged scar on her thigh.
"I despise her for doing all of those things to me, and I despise this scar for reminding me of how cruel fate and the world are. I despise this scar because it reminds me of how ugly my childhood was. And I despise how ugly it has made me!" Judith hissed, closing her eyes tightly. Drazhan's jaw clenched slightly at her word. His palms gently grasped her face and pulled her head up to look at him.
"That scar on your leg doesn't make you ugly, meng léift. It just goes to show how strong you are to get through all of that and not break. It only shows how brave you are to face life head-on, despite the cruel woman's attempts to destroy it. This scar, if anything, only adds to your beauty. It's a symbol of what you've been through and how strong you've remained. You are beautiful. You are strong. You are fierce as a Fuuss. Du bass mäin Schatz!" Drazhan's voice was replete with respect and admiration as Judith stared up at his shimmering browns and glossy eyes. Drazhan pressed his lips against hers in a loving kiss and rested his forehead against hers. Drazhan sighed and muttered with a smile.
(You are my treasure!)
"Every blemish, every imperfection, every scar and every spot on your body makes you who you are. So never, ever hate yourself for something that is a part of who you are." Drazhan pressed his lips against her forehead, and Judith wrapped her arms around him. Drazhan drew her closer and kissed the top of her head as she nestled into his warmth. Drazhan's hand stroked Judith's hair as she clutched his shirt tightly. Drazhan pressed his lips against her temple as she drifted off to the world of dreams. He could only hope that her world of dreams was free of nightmares.
While the female in his arms slept soundly, Drazhan's thoughts were consumed by the woman who gave birth to the female in his arms.
The warm touch of a pair of fingers trailing over her cheek pricked her skin. Judith let out a contented sigh before slowly opening her eyes to unveil a smiling Drazhan. The curtains were pulled back and the room was bright bathed in warm sunray. She blinked a few times and looked up at Drazhan. Judith closed her eyes and nuzzled into his warm inviting chest, making him chuckle.
"You should get up, léift." He said softly, and Judith only shook her head. "It's already noon. Get up and eat something. I made your favourite blueberry pancakes." Judith looked up when she heard the word pancakes.
"How did you-? Drazhan grinned cheekily as she asked groggily.
"I have the power to read minds!" He joked dramatically waving his hand on air. Drazhan chuckled as Judith rolled her eyes. "Your dad told me this morning."
