"How you doing, son?" When he saw his father and Fabian standing outside the hotel suite door, Drazhan's eyes widened. Gerbert was beaming at him with a bright grin, while Fabian stood beside him with a warm smile. Drazhan was about to say something when he felt Judith's body against his back and looked down at her as she peered over his shoulder.
"Dad!" Drazhan smiled, her face glowing brighter than ever before as her gaze fell on her father. He took a step back as Judith wrapped her arms around her father. Fabian smiled and held her tight.
"I missed you, little dove." Fabian muttered, and Judith responded muffledly, "I missed you too!" Judith stepped back and turned to face Gerbert, who was smiling at them.
"It's great to see you again, Mr Agnor." Gerbert returned her smile as she greeted him.
"Same here, sweetheart."
"Let's go inside," Judith said as she turned to face Drazhan, who was looking down at her with a loving smile. She smiled back and they walked inside the suite.
"I didn't know you were coming, Father?" Drazhan inquired as they sat on the couch.
"I assumed you did. The gala is in three days after all." Gerbert responded with scrunched brows, and Judith looked at him perplexed. "What gala?" Everyone turned to look at her when she asked.
"The annual charity gala. This year, we're hosting it. You didn't tell her, Drazhan?" Gerbert informed and inquired of Drazhan, who shook his head. "It had completely slipped my mind!" He exclaimed.
"Then what about the preparations?" Fabian inquired, and Drazhan raised his head. "Don't worry, I'll see it through." Judith looked up at Drazhan, sensing a hint of stress.
"I will help you. Though I don't know much, I'm confident I can be of help." Judith suggested with a smile and Drazhan smiled back at her. "With you by my side, I'm confident we'll host the best gala ever." Drazhan placed a kiss on her forehead and she beamed up at him. Their gaze was drawn to their fathers sitting in front, who were staring at them with wide eyes and open mouths.
"When did this happen?" Gerbert wondered out loud. "I think it's the charm of Germany!" Fabian pondered, while Judith and Drazhan laughed.
"Probably," Drazhan muttered, looking down at the woman sitting beside him.
"How, though?" Judith shrugged as Fabian exclaimed.
"It's a long story."
"Why are you staying at a hotel instead of at our residence?" Gerbert inquired as he sipped his coffee. They had been in the suite's lounge for about half an hour and were still there. Drazhan and their father were planning the gala. After a shower and a change of clothes, Judith came in and sat beside Drazhan.
Drazhan raised his head from his paper to his father's question and replied, "It's too far from the office, and I don't want to drive for hours to get to places."
"Did you even take Judith to visit the home you grew up in?" Gerbert inquired, his eyes narrowed and Judith glanced at him and Drazhan.
"I was planning to take her there." Gerbert nodded in response to Drazhan's answer, and Judith looked at Drazhan.
"To your childhood home?" She inquired, and Drazhan smiled and nodded.
A few hours flew by as they worked on pending paperwork and prepared for the gala. After dinner, Fabian and Gerbert left, and Drazhan and Judith sat on the couch to say their goodbyes.
They exchanged glances, and the air around them became thick with s*exual tension. Judith gulped and bit her lower lip as she noticed Drazhan's eyes immediately fixated on the action. Drazhan leaned in as his hand rested on her upper thigh and squeezed, warmth starting to seep through her being and she chuckled.
