Hope's P.O.V
The moment I saw her, I had to go. I can't be near her. I just hope she didn't see me. I wasn't thinking and I just ran. I needed a moment. Just a moment. I continued running through the crowd of people until I found an alleyway with no one around. I run into the alleyway and stand against the wall next to me. I try my best to calm my breathing. And it wasn't just because of the running. I just need to forget about her.. all of them. The moment I think I'm ready to walk back and find Josie and the kids, I hear a voice behind me. Damn it! "Well look who it is. Hope Mikaelson." She says and I sigh softly. I turn to look at her and she's got a smirk spread across her face. I usually don't get scared easily by anyone but after how they treated me and lied to me in high school, it's hard not to be. "Alyssa." That's all I could say. "It's so good to see you again." I know that's a lie. "How have you been?" Like I'm going to answer that. I don't want to see her or speak to her. I noticed the other two girls standing behind her. Dana and Maya. Her posse. I'm guessing Dana told her about what I did to her at my sorority house. "So Hope, I wanted to apologize for everything I've done. I saw you dancing out there and had to find you." Again, I don't believe her. She doesn't want to apologize. "But then I heard what you did to Dana. Who knew you would've become even more bratty and bitchy as you grew up?" She said with a smirk still on her face. "Oh I'm the bitchy one?" I asked, trying to stand up for myself. "You're the bitchy one here." I said confidently. That's when I feel a stinging feeling on my face. She slapped me. "I was never a bitch." She said and that was clearly another lie. "Oh please, you know what you did to me. I trusted you! I cared about you! And now look at where we are." I said trying to hold back tears. "But who would ever want to be friends with a snobby rich girl who got everything from her daddy?" She said and scoffed. "You know I was never like that." I said and she laughed. "Yeah, whatever." I sighed softly. "Just leave me alone please Alyssa?" "And why should I? Don't you remember how you embarrassed me in front of everyone?" "Please just let me go." I said and tried to leave but Maya stopped me. But she had a look on her face that made her look like she was sorry, which only confused me. Why would she be sorry? She followed Alyssa all through high school. I turned back to Alyssa. "What do you want from me?!" I asked her. "Just to make you miserable." She said it so calmly, like as if it was just second nature to torture me. "Well guess what, Dana deserved it. And I would do it again. All of you are nothing but bitches who are probably just harassing me because you hate your petty ass self." I said, again trying to stand up for myself. And again, a stinging feeling on my face. Another slap. "Shut the fuck up!" She yelled. After Dana whispered something in Alyssa's ear, she smirked at me. "There are so many people here right?" She asked and I didn't know where this was going. "How about I humiliate you, the way you humiliated me?" She said and before I could even say or do anything, I feel a cold liquid falling on my head. My mouth opened, not expecting her to do that just now. I feel it dripping down my face and onto the rest of my body. I tilt my head down and it dripped off my head and onto the ground. I feel like crying again but I hold back still. Why can't I get away from them?
Josie's P.O.V.
I walk through the crowd of people with Nik and Mikayla beside me, trying to find Hope. I hope she's okay. I can't even imagine what is going on through her head. After a bit of pushing through the crowd, I run into Freya and Keelin. "Mommy!" Both Nik and Mikayla yelled. They let go of my hands and run to their mothers. "Hey kiddos." Freya said, giving them both a hug. "Having fun with Hope?" She asked and they gave her a look. "She left." Nik said and Freya's eyes shot up to see only me. She gave Keelin a look and she nodded her head before taking the kids away. "Bye Josie!" The kids said and I waved at them, giving them a smile even though I didn't feel like smiling. They clearly were worried about Hope and I didn't want to worry them more. "Mommy, are we going to find Hopey?" I hear Mikayla ask as Keelin walked them away from us.
