Hope's P.O.V.
Now that Cleo knows pretty much everything that's happened after she left, we've gotten closer. I'm happy to have my best friend back. I can't believe I was afraid to let her back in. But I do know that I will always be afraid that she will leave again and that we will lose contact again. Josie and I are also happy. I've forgiven her for telling Cleo and not telling me and we're happy. I am so glad I didn't lose her. I don't know what I would do if I did lose her. I know I got along without her before but now that I know her and gotten to fall for her, I can't see my life without her.It was a normal school day and I went through my classes just like usual. After one class, I felt annoyed, or maybe even stressed. Seeing Josie will definitely help make me feel better. I walk to Keelin's class and sat down where Josie and I usually sit. I was a bit early so I pulled out my notebook and started to doodle. I got a little lost in it until I feel a hand on my thigh. I look over at the hand and then look up to see Josie. I smiled softly and she gave me a little wink. "Hey. Whatcha doodlin?" She asked and I chuckled softly. "Oh nothing." I replied. She took my book and started flipping through it. "Hey give it back." I said and tried to grab it but she moved so I couldn't. "Jo." I whined softly and she chuckled and gave me my book back. "I still want to look through it later but class is going to start soon. "And don't whine for me unless it's for another reason." She whispered in my ear. I kicked her leg softly and I just hear her giggle to herself. I tried my best to stay focused during class but I just ended up doodling again. I couldn't help but think about what came up in one of my last classes.
Once class was over, Josie and I headed out. We did get stopped by Landon and I had to actually stop Josie this time. "Hey Hope. Can we talk?" Landon asked me and I shook my head. "No." Is all I said. "Please." He pleaded. "She said no. So back off. Oh and another thing, you ar-" I grabbed her arm and pulled her away from Landon. I pulled her out the building and outside. "Why the hell did you do that?" She asked and I looked at her. "Because I'm not going to let you get in trouble for punching Landon because of a stupid rumor." "Come on Hope. He deserves it and I've held back too long." She said. "No fighting. I love that you want to protect me but I'm not letting you get into a fight for me. Now let's go home." I said and kept pulling her away from the building so she wouldn't get herself into trouble.
We made our way back towards the house. I was distracted thinking of that one class and what I have to do. Josie must've noticed that I was distracted. "Hey, is everything okay?" She asked and I looked at her. "Uh yeah, just a little stressed." "What happened?" "I have a project due in one of my classes and my partner annoys me." I said and she instantly looked angry. "It's not Landon." I quickly said before she could run off to go attack him. "Then who?" "Your sister." "You and Lizzie?" She asked and I nodded. "It won't be too bad." She tried to tell me. "Your sister and me? It'll be a miracle that we don't kill each other." I said and rolled my eyes. Lizzie and I haven't gotten along well. She usually gets on my nerves and I apparently do the same for her. "Lizzie isn't as bad as you think Hope. You just have to get used to her." Lizzie played nice when she was getting into my sorority because she wanted to be on my good side. Now that she's used to being there and thinks I won't kick her out, she's more comfortable being herself. And now we don't really get along well. "I don't know about this Jo." I said and Josie stopped walking. "What's wrong?" I asked her and stopped walking as well to look at her. "Please play nice with her for me?" She asked. "What will you get out of it?" I asked, curious on why she wanted me to do this for her. I obviously will because she asked but why? "Lizzie is my sister and even though she doesn't know about.. us.." She whispered us so no one around us heard. "I would like it if my girlfriend.." Again she whispered girlfriend. "And my sister got along somewhat." Ugh. She does have a point. "I guess I will play nice for you." She instantly smiled at me and started walking again, quicker than before. "What's the rush Flash?" I jokingly ask. "I have to thank you in some way but I can't really do it until we're home." She said and gave me a little wink. "Then go faster." I say, getting a chuckle out of her. I know she probably just means a little make out session since we can't do the other while everyone is home, but a make out session is enough for me. I do wish we could go farther though.
