Hope's P.O.V.
After yesterday, I just needed to sleep in. I still had another day off of school and I needed to rest. The only good things that came out of yesterday was getting to see my favorite little people, and the fact that I now have a date with Josie. I never imagined that she would ever feel the same towards me. I was so afraid to tell her how I feel, thinking she would end up like Alyssa but she basically told me first that she has some kind of feelings for me. Not only that she punched Alyssa in the face for me, that tells me she actually cares about me. I know that I will probably always be afraid she will turn on me but I don't think she would. I think I found someone who actually just likes me for me.

After a bit of just laying in bed, I hear my door slam open. "Hope Mikaelson!" I hear a familiar blonde screaming. Damn it, why today of all days?! "Lizzie leave her alone!" I hear a familiar brunette. The one who makes me smile. "I just wanted to see if she wanted to hang out with us girls for once in her life." Lizzie said. I groaned and covered my face with one of my pillows. "She clearly doesn't want to get out of bed right now." Please get her to leave Jo. "Oh come on. Why would anyone spend a day in bed?" "Maybe she's tired from her family day yesterday." I know she really knows why I want to stay in bed today but she doesn't even mention anything close to why. She makes the excuse that I'm tired from the long day of spending it with my family. She is keeping it a secret between us. "That's ridiculous. Come on Hope get up!" Lizzie yelled and tried pulling my blankets off of me. I grab the pillow from my face and throw it right at her. I hear her gasp but I also hear a chuckle behind her. I made her laugh. I smiled softly and tried not to laugh as well. "You think hitting me with your pillow is going to get me to leave?" She asked. "If you don't leave now, I will hit you with more than just a pillow." I said sitting up on my elbows to look at her. "It's not just me that you want to go out with them. The others are just too scared to confront you." Wow, I can't believe she actually said that. I know everyone is usually scared of me because they think I will go to my father about it, but I wouldn't. And I don't believe that Cleo is scared of me. I rolled my eyes and laid back down. "I'm not leaving so just forget it." I said and I hear her groan. "You are so frustrating Hope Mikaelson!" She yelled and I hear her storm off. Thank God. I close my eyes, thinking Josie left with her but I feel someone sitting on the bed beside me. I open my eyes and saw Josie looking down at me. "I'm sorry about her." She started off saying. "I also wanted to make sure you're doing okay before I left." I sighed softly and sat up. "I'm fine Jo. Thanks for asking." I said and looked at her with a soft smile. "Are you sure because if not, I'm here for you." I can't believe how much she actually does care about me. I never thought anyone ever would care about me this way. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her in for a hug. "I promise I'm fine." I said softly. I hear her sigh, one that tells me she's still worried about me. But she doesn't continue asking if I'm okay. I hug her for a bit longer, just because I love the feeling of holding her in my arms and being in her arms. I can't help but be able to smell her scent and damn did she smell amazing. She eventually pulled away and looked at me. "Okay, I'll let you rest. If you need me, just call okay?" She said and I nodded my head. She really is worried about me, even though she doesn't have to. "Don't worry, I'll call if I need you. Now go before you sister comes back looking for you this time." She rolled her eyes and got up. She walked to my door and before walking out, she waved at me and I gave her a smile, waving back. She walked out and closed the door behind her. I laid back down and smiled to myself. I still can't believe that I have a date with such an amazing, beautiful girl. One who somehow managed to steal my heart while it was built up behind a wall.

After about a few hours of just relaxing in my room, I decided I should get some food because I hadn't eaten anything all day. Before I could leave my room to go get some food, I hear a knock on my door. I was a bit shocked because I didn't think anyone was home. I assumed they had all went out to do whatever, since classes would be starting up again soon. I walked over to door and opened it, hoping it wasn't Lizzie again. When I opened it, I feel a smile appear on my face. This girl has such an effect on me that it's seems so crazy to me. "Hey Hopey." She said and gave me an innocent smile. I rolled my eyes at her. "Is you calling me that, going to be a thing now?" She chuckled softly. "Mayyybe." She said, stretching out the word. "Come on in Jo." I said and moved aside to let her in. "Why aren't you out having fun or exploring places?" I asked as I closed the door behind her. "Well I wanted to stay in case you needed me. And it's been hours and I know you haven't eaten so I brought you food." I looked at her as she put a tray of food down on my desk. I guess I was too focused on her to even notice the food at first. "And you better eat every single bite." She said, pretty much scolding me for not eating earlier. "It's like you read my mind. Thank you." I said and smiled at her. "But Jo, you don't have to stay here for me. You should go out and do something." I told her and she stubbornly shook her head. "Nope. I'm staying here." She said and crossed her arms. "You're not going to leave no matter how much I try to convince you, will you?" I asked and she gave me a smug grin. "Nope. Now eat." Usually if someone bossed me around like that, I would get pissed and tell them off. But coming from her, I know, now, it's because she cares about me. Not to mention she's pretty cute when she's bossy. I walked over to the desk and sit down to start eating what she brought me. "Wow, did you cook this?" I asked and turned to her as she's looking around my room. I assume it's so she could get to know me better because I believe this is the longest she's been in my room. She looked at me and nodded her head, adding a little 'mhm' to it. "It's delicious." I said. I didn't know she could cook. "Thank you." She said and continued to look around my room. My room was mostly filled with books, nicknacks that I have collected over the years or was given to me by my family, my bed, a desk, my easel, and pictures of my family. It used to have more, like when I was still painting, it had paints, brushes, different types of canvases and drawing books, marker, colored pencils, even clay and other artsy things. But that was pretty much all in the basement now. All that was left, was what I brought up after what Josie had told me months ago about my paintings. Which was just an easel with a canvas and some paints and a brush. I had to start someone to get back into it. "Hope!" She yelled as I'm eating her delicious food. The way she yelled, scared me so I jumped up and checked around the room. She was perfectly fine. She didn't fall or anything that I was assuming. "What happened?!" I asked, wondering if maybe she saw a bug or something and got scared. "You're painting again?" She asked me as she stood near the canvas. "Damn it Josie! You scared me! I thought you fell or something!" I yelled and she looked at me with an apologetic look on her face. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." She said and looked down at her feet. I sighed softly and walked closer to her. I lifted her chin up so she was looking at me. "It's fine. Just don't scream like that again." I said and she nodded slightly. "And I'm sorry for yelling. You just scared me. The moment I heard you scream like that, I thought you had slipped and hurt yourself. Or maybe saw a bug and got scared." I said and she smiled at me. "So you worry about me huh?" Is that all she has to say? "Shut up." I say and move my hand from under her chin. She started laughing. "Aww you do." I rolled my eyes at her. "I said shut up." I said and went to sit back at the desk to finish eating. "When did you start painting again?" She asked and I turned to look at the canvas. It had some lines drawn on it, not enough to make out what it might be but enough to tell that it was going to be something once I finish. "Uhm.. today." I replied, hoping she didn't ask anymore questions. I didn't want to admit that I started painting again because of her. After she asked me out last night, I felt more like my old self again. I feel the urge to paint again. So while I was locked up in my room, having nothing to do, I started painting again. It wasn't much but it was a start. I wasn't sure what it would turn out to be but knowing what.. or who I was thinking about when I started painting again, I have a feeling of what it will turn out to be. "Well I'm glad you're painting again! I can't wait to see it when it's done! What made you want to start again?" She asked and I groaned softly. Of course she asked me. "Oh uh nothing.." I mumbled and continued eating, hoping she would forget about it and let me eat. But that wasn't the case. "Oh come on Hope, it has to be something." She said and I just kept eating. "So?" She asked and I noticed how she sat down on my bed next to the desk so she was close to me. "You can tell me." She pressed on. It's like as if she already assumes what it was but just wanted to hear me say it. She continued looked at me and eventually I gave in, especially after seeing her puppy dog eyes and little pout. "You! Okay? You got me back into painting. What you said before, got me thinking and it took a bit of time but then I eventually I felt like painting again so I started that piece today." I said. The moment I finished talking, she had a wide smile on her face. "I'm glad I can be of an influence." She said and I crumbled up a piece of paper that was sitting on my desk and threw it at her. "Hey!" She said and giggled as she threw it back at me. "Oh you want to go there huh?" I asked and she gave me a smug grin and raised her eyebrows, probably thinking I wouldn't do anything. I stood up and ran over to the bed to tackle her down and start tickling her. I hear her laugh and feel her squirming underneath me. "Hope, stop it!" She yelled and I kept going. "Nope, not happening." I said and kept tickling her. She looked and sounded so cute as I tickled her. It definitely made me feel better than what I was feeling all morning after what happened yesterday. She continued to squirm and tried pushing me off, but she was too weak at the moment to push me off. Eventually I stopped and laid down next to her, laughing with her. "Test me again Saltzman and it'll last longer." I said and turned my head to look at her. She looked at me after she caught her breath and was smiling at me. "Well payback is going to be a bitch." She said. Uh oh. I tried to move to run away but she pinned me down. If this wasn't a tickle fight right now, it'd be really sexy seeing her on top of me and pinning me down. The moment I feel her start tickling, I laugh and squirm, just as she did before. She continued tickling me and I couldn't stop laughing. "Jo, okay that's enough!" I yelled in between my laughter and trying to catch my breath. After what seemed like longer than what I tickled her, she finally stopped and laughed, as she laid back next to me. I tried my best to catch my breath, while I could feel her staring at me. Once I managed to stop breathing so heavily, I turned to look at her. "You're staring Jo." I said and she just smiled. "I can't help that there is a beautiful girl laying next to me." Shit! There goes the warmth in my cheeks again. "Aww, I made the Hope Badass Mikaelson blush." She said, teasing about me blushing. I slap her playfully and turned my head away so she couldn't see my face. "Uh huh. No you don't Mikaelson." She said and I felt her hand grab my chin and pull it towards her so I was looking at her again. "I want to keep looking into those beautiful blue eyes." She said, making me blush even more.
