They say that everyone is different, but there are some people who are more "different" than others. For one reason or another, whether it's a physical feature, a disability, sexual or gender orientation, they're seen as "different" from everybody else. Most of the time, people get scared of what's different, because they don't understand it. At least, that's what my best friend tells me. She understands me, because she's different. Although, her differences made her popular, because people thought she was cool and interesting. That can happen sometimes. Instead of being scared of someone who's different, people can be drawn toward them, and find them really interesting.
This is a story about two girls who were both different for, well, different reasons. There was Honey Candy, my best friend, who was born with a tail. Yes, you heard that right. She was born with a tail, and everyone thought it was cool. Then, there's me, Madison Cassidy. I'm Autistic, and people saw me as a freak, even my own mother, who tried to make me "normal." For the longest time, I thought I wasn't special. I thought I was damaged goods, until I met Honey. She taught me to embrace what makes me different. She was the best friend I'd ever had. Honestly, she was the best friend anyone could've ever asked for. She was so kind and positive and just... beautiful all around. She was my angel, and well, this is our story.
