After that night, we all set to planning Honey and Brad's wedding. It wouldn't be a huge, expensive wedding, but more simple and laidback. We booked our local church for the ceremony and a small club space for the reception. Brad decided that he wanted to wear his dad's tuxedo, and Honey chose to wear a white, knitted, zip-up onesie, a matching tail warmer, and the same sparkling slippers she wore for her concert, instead of a traditional bridal gown. Kitty, Kelly, and I were her bridesmaids, and I was the maid of honor. She said that we could wear whatever we wanted. Kitty decided on a pink, zip-up onesie with a tail and matching slippers. I wore a blue, floor-length dress, and Kelly wore a yellow dress. We were all allowed to do our hair and makeup the way we wanted. The groomsmen were Tyler and his brothers. Tyler was the best man. They all decided to wear suits and ties. The ring bearer was Tyler's nephew, and the flower girl was, of course, Emily. Honey had made her a beautiful, pink princess dress and a matching, sparkling tiara. She even curled her hair for her. Oh, gosh, she looked so cute.

"I can't believe my little girl's getting married," Michelle wept.

"Awwwww, Mommy," Honey said sweetly as she hugged her mother, "I love you so much."

"I love you, too, Sweetheart, and I can tell Brad really loves you, too."

"And, I love him, too, so much that my heart's always about to burst."

Michelle smiled. "He's a lucky guy.

"I'm a lucky girl."

"So am I, because I was blessed with a daughter like you." Michelle burst into tears as soon as those words left her mouth.

"Awwwwwww, come here, Mommy!" Honey cried as she hugged her mother tightly. "You're the best mother I could ever ask for," she wept, "and I love you so, so much." She kissed her mother's cheek.

"And, you are the kindest and sweetest daughter a mother could ever know.." Then, she looked at her daughter all dressed up and made over. "Oh, you look so beautiful," she said breathlessly.

"You're okay with me not wearing a dress?"

"Absolutely. This is so much more you."

Honey giggled.

"Well, I guess it's time."

They both emerged from the bridal room, and Dad was waiting for them as the organist began to play "Here Comes the Bride." Honey smiled at Dad as she gave him the biggest hug, and linked arms with him as he walked her down the aisle. He kissed her forehead, and went to sit with Michelle. The pastor gave a beautiful speech about love, commitment, fidelity, and trust. Then, it was time to exchange vows.

"I remember when I first saw you," said Brad, "when you were singing karaoke at the freshmen party in college. I thought you were the most beautiful woman I'd ever laid my eyes on... and your voice took my breath away. I know how cheesy that sounds, but it's so true. And, your tail is awesome, too, by the way. I remember thinking it was part of a costume, but you told me the story, and I just thought, 'Wow, this woman's even more amazing than I thought.' I got to know you, and I quickly realized that you were the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with, even at eighteen years old. You were always so sweet and kind to me and everyone around. I've never once seen you get angry or lose your cool. You've always been so gentle, even to the biggest jerks. You're the kind of person we should all strive to be more like. Everyone should follow your example of kindness and unconditional love. If we did, this world would be perfect." Tears formed in his eyes as he continued to speak. "I don't know how long I have left with you, but I wanna make every last moment count. I wanna cherish and love you for however long it is. I'll be right there through it all, no matter how hard it gets, because you're worth it. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I will do my best to return the favor." Then, he placed a ring on her finger.
