Arabella pov~

We all made our way back to the compound when Ezra called out to tris.
"Hey Tris, wanna come with us. We are taking a shortcut back. A little initiation, Dauntless style." She nodded hurrying off behind him. I looked to four with a grin as he scowled.  I leant against him giving him a little shove as he looked to me.
"You like her don't you." He rolled his eyes and put his fingers around the bridge of his nose but nodding slightly. I danced around him chanting 'Four has a crush, four has a crush' before he shot me a stern look and I bit my tongue whilst laughing.
"I don't know why you're laughing. I have seen you with a certain leader." He wiggled his eyebrows as I gave him an evil glare.  We chuckle together before making out way back to the compound on the train.  I made  it back just before tris and her group who took the zip wire. We all made our way to the pit in celebration. I stood with Al waiting for the trio to arrive. I noticed their arrival due to four calling out to tris. God they are definitely going to get together. They have to.
We made our way over to her just as four walks away. We made our way to the drinks table and I notice Eric in the corner sipping a beer. I grab my own and make my way over with the hopes of discussing what happened earlier.

His eyes were scanning the room as if he was looking for someone and they soften when they fell on me. I seemed to be who he was looking for.
"Hey," I looked up to him as I made my way closer.
"Hey Bella, everything ok?" He asked clearly aware of the conversation that was about to unfold.
"What happened during the war games Eric?" He sighed contemplating his response.
"Nothing happened Bella. And if anything did it was a mistake. Now leave me be initiate." He spoke after a long pause. I was in pain at his words. I tried my best to hide the effect his words had on me. I nodded and walked away attempting to hold my head high but I'm not too sure I came across as confidently as I wanted to.
"Hey I am gonna go to the parlour wanna come?"I asked looking to Tris who had just found out she made it into stage two,  Nikki had taken her place below the red line.  She looked over to a drunk Christina and Will making out and nodded gagging slightly as a joke. This earned her a small hit on the back from Christina who was still lip locking Will. I chuckled with her and we began making our way up. Tris was talking to tori in a hushed tone as I stood with Mickey the piercer. I decided to get my industrial done along side my 3rds, 4ths and 5th on my lobe.
I noticed Tori say something about death after I was done and I wandered over to her station.
"What are you guys talking about?" I asked and Tris jumped and began stuttering her response.
"Oh, uh-uh nothing. Just uh new tattoos and stuff." Tori laughed looking to Tris.
"You do realise she knows right?" The black haired women spoke and I raised my eyebrow.
"What do I know?" And Tori realised I probably didn't have a clue about what she was talking about.
"Don't worry Bella, you will know soon." She spoke and Tris looked at her confused. I just shrugged gesturing to the door and tris nodded.
We made our way back to the training room with the intention of an early night.  We had to work with abnegation and amity tomorrow to get food for the faction-less.

We made our way to the trucks, and I somehow got stuck with Eric. Alone. The cab of the truck was silent and full of tension. The journey is about 3 hours as we had to come from dauntless to go to amity then go from amity to abnegation. We made it to amity in about an hour, remaining in complete silence.
"Hey pass the bags here we can take a few more on ours." Eric called almost snatching the bag from one of the amity men helping us load up the trucks. I scowled at him and his attitude.
"I apologise for him and his ways he has a degree in being a first class douchebag." The man laughed slightly and Eric grabbed my arm pulling me from him just as I was about to introduce myself to him.
"Byeeeee!" I called out as I was pushed into the passenger seat. We soon left our truck being the last to leave.
"Eric that was really unnecessary." I stated rolling my eyes at the memory of his behaviour. He muttered something under his breath and gripped the steering wheel till his knuckles went white.
"Look we have another two hours together we might as well talk about something. I would rather you scream at me than sit in silence for much longer." I groaned looking up and resting the top of my head on the headrest.
"Maybe I just don't want to talk to you. Ever thought about that?" He retorted catching me off guard. Whilst his words stung, I wasn't going to let it show.
"He speaks!" I shriek throwing my hands up and a small lift in the corner of his mouth almost reveals a smile.
"Is the devil going to speak again?" I asked hoping to some how gage a reaction.
"The devil, is trying to concentrate on driving. So could you leave him in peace?!" He returned his last word was almost shouted.
"Someone is touchy this morning." He groans and turns to me slightly.
"Shut your mouth before I do it for you, with a sock I might add!" He grumbles.
"Is that your way of admitting your feet stink because it wasn't very subtle." I giggled and the small upturn on his lips re appeared.
"No. Tell anyone that and you will end up in the bottom of the chasm. That is a promise." He snipes but the small smile never fades.
"You wouldn't do that. What other initiate could you mercilessly torture if I was gone?" He side eyed me and had a look of contemplation. "May I add, that would be as fun as torturing me."
"See that's where you got me. I could torture any initiate but I doubt it would be as fun." He stated before looking as if he regretted his words.
"Ha he admits it. You enjoy spending time with me, even if its torturing me, but time none the less." I was almost jumping in my seat at this point.
"Calm down initiate I don't enjoy your company that much." He spoke but his tone aided me in seeing through his lie immediately.
"Admit it. Admit you like spending time with me." I laughed but his faced turned sour.
"Now you should really be quiet initiate." He demanded. His face had hardened and his eyes remained dead set on the road.
"Eric. Please don't do that." I pleaded. I had never been one to plead but the tension was eating away at me.
"Please don't do what? Please don't do what Bella? Be a leader and not engage in compromising conversations. Wow I am such an asshole!" He snapped looking to me. His eyes softened as they reached me and it all finally clicked into place.
