They somehow made it without arguing, in fact, they didn't talk at all. For the first time, they have been amongst one another, in complete and utter silence, not even one breath was exchanged.

Currently, they're both stood in front of the tall and elegant door that Red stormed out of a few days prior, and the same door that Layla was carried to by that same Red.

"Here we are.." Layla speaks quietly and a sense of awkwardness in her voice along with it, Leo sitting patiently, waiting for the door to be unlocked.

"Is there anyone else in?" Red interrupts quickly, biting the inside of her cheek nervously, a look as if she's already regretting this and seeming extremely embarrassed to the point she's not met eyes with Layla once.

"Mum and Dad should be out for a meal. Brother and sister should be asleep." Layla finishes, looking up at the vulnerable Red with soft eyes before sensing Red's uncomfortableness with this whole situation, "You'll be fine, Red. My mum is as friendly as someone can get, and so is my dad. My brother and sister on the other hand, they'll probably think you're the BFG i've been using to scare them off." Layla chuckles, jokingly. Red's eyes meet Layla's finally, brown meets green, and a small smile turns up on the side of her lip in appreciation for her efforts to make her laugh.

"You ready?" Layla asks, reassuringly smiling after doing so. Red takes a few seconds until she lightly nods as a sign for Layla to open the door.

The door is opened, and Red could swear she'd never felt this much anxiety and embarrassment in her life, her face is bruised, her hands are shaking and her lips are blue.

"Coast is clear." Layla whispers as if they're on a mission, technically they are. Relief washes over Red's expression as she carefully slips inside the house.

"Shoes here, only requirement in this house." Layla points at the fanciest, glass, shoe storage cupboard Red has ever seen.

Red slowly nods, her eyes flicking to all the clean pairs of shoes before her eyes lock to her own, dirty and damaged ones. Red takes her first shoe off, seeing Layla doing the same beside her. As Layla takes her second shoe off and Red is reaching to do the same,

"Layla, you're home already?" They hear a woman from a distance, getting louder as the sound of heels clicking against the marble flooring gets closer.

"Fuck." Red mutters, getting the urge to walk out, Layla immediately but hesitantly grabbing her by her wrist, "Stop." Layla mumbles.

A woman appears from the hallway, wearing a fitted black dress, polished burgundy heels, her blonde hair in thick curls, and her features scarily similar to Layla's.

Red can practically smell the woman's perfume from across the hall. She eyes Red, an eyebrow smoothly shooting up in confusion when she sees her wearing one shoe. Layla awkwardly smiles before letting Red go.

"Love, you didn't tell me you'd have friends around." The woman begins to walk closer, walking in the most elegant and admiring way, Red's eyes widen in fear, biting the inside of her cheek.

"Yeah, Mum i uh- i ran into Red on my walk and i just thought she could stay around for a bit." Layla fidgets with the leash whilst Leo patiently stares up. Red flinches when her name is mentioned, she must've heard of me at least once and has hated me ever since.

"Red?" Layla's mum immediately turns to Red, walking towards her, the pair being eye to eye since the woman is wearing heels that can get you at least four inches taller .

Red's dark brown eyes lock with the green ones before her, not even daring to blink. Red's expression is bland.

"Red." The mother repeats, as if she recalls her name now, her tongue clicking like she just dug for it and immediately remembered it when they met eye to eye.
