Tuesday, after school.
"Right, just sit here, i'll be back in a minute with some paper." Mrs. Lane says, her posture good with her back straight and her large chest sticking out, Red grimaces at her.
"Why paper?" Red questions, spreading her legs as she sits back in the chair.
"Well, you didn't think i would have you in here doing nothing did you? You're gonna write two essays, one on Romeo's feelings for Juliet throughout the beginning of the play, and one for Juliet's feelings for Romeo." Mrs. Lane speaks strictly and immediately leaving before Red could even argue.
Red could leave, it's not like she's scared of what the worst punishment the school can give her. A part of Red is actually happy she got this rather than having to go back home and face her father again, he wouldn't like me there anyways. She thinks to herself. But he could kill me if i don't come back on time. She also debates. She fears her father more than anything else in her life, Red isn't scared easily.
And for the first time in a long time, Red doesn't have one bruise on her face, besides the bruises on her knuckles after punching Nick, which she deeply regrets especially after what Layla said, but won't ever bring herself to say.
Red's caught by surprise when she feels a pair of hands on either side of her shoulders, "Boo." A familiar voice says before the chair beside her is pulled out and the stupid blonde headed girl that put her in here is sitting beside her.
"Have you come confessing?" Red raises an eyebrow, a smile lifting on her face unconsciously at the sight of those green eyes.
"No, i've come bearing gifts." Layla replies playfully as she purses her lips at Red.
"Oh, i see, you've come here for forgiveness?" Red teases again, fully turning her body to the green eyed girl.
"Not forgiveness really, more of an eye for an eye per se." Layla leans back in the chair as she looks Red up and down before smirking.
"Better be something good, did you hear what that woman is making me do?" Red exclaims, remembering that she has to literally write two essays in the space of two hours, how is that even physically possible.
"I heard." Layla responds before the door is opened and a teacher is walking straight in, not Mrs. Lane though, the same teacher that was flirting with Red in internal, Mrs. McCoubrey.
"Fuck." Layla hisses.
"Stacey.." Mrs. McCoubrey calls as she walks towards the teacher's desk, her head down with a pair of reading glasses on whilst looking through a file. Layla and Red both turn to one another with their eyebrows raised up to the ceiling at the surprise of Mrs. Lane's first name being Stacey. They cringe.
Mrs. McCoubrey looks up to find no Stacey but a curly head and a blonde staring at her with cringe written all over their faces. Her confused expression immediately changes as her eyes flick between the pair before sticking themselves to Red.
Layla stretches her arms out on the table before Mrs. McCoubrey is putting her glasses on her head in a swift manner, "Red, nice to see you here." She walks over as if she's a model on a runway show, Red immediately getting uncomfortable and leaning back in her chair.
Without warning, Mrs. McCoubrey is sitting on the edge of the table, nearly squashing Layla's arms who is forced to rip them away from the table quicker than Usain Bolt.
"You being naughty again, are you?" She winks, acting completely oblivious to the Layla who she nearly just squashed and is glaring at her and the clearly uncomfortable Red who is trying her best not to grimace at the sight of her.
