CHAPTER 4
I just stood there in utter shock.
Should I run? I thought, questioning my next move. My senses were starting to disappear. My conscious was starting to evaporate into thin air.
She stepped closer to me slowly. My heart was pounding. I took one step back, and then I ran for it. She chases after me and tries to grab my shirt. I luckily twisted my body so she won't grab it. I rip open the back door and dashed out. I leap over the fence and she just breaks it down.
"Get over here you little bitch!" she screams. I look back.
"I'm not a female dog Jenna!" I yell, still scared of what's going on. Please save me God!
I jump over another fence. I look back and she was far behind me. But I could still see her angry face in the distance. I look over and there was a giant tree that had bulky branches. It should hold me up.
The closest branch was at least ten feet tall. So I jumped as high as I could and I reached the branch without even trying.
I hid behind the green leaves. They glowed from the sun. A gentle breeze was there to make the leaves sway; a perfect touch to top it all off. Jenna races past the tree, then stops. She slowly turns around and looks up at my tree. She comes closer and smiles.
"Come down kitty! If you don't, I'll have to get you myself!" she barks. I clutched onto the branch even more and watched her stumbling up the tree. My eyes widen.
Resources! Come on where can I just hop onto? I thought. I looked around and I noticed the tree was closest to roof. I huffed and then climbed my way, and softly jumped onto the roof. Jenna was still climbing and finally got into the branch. But I was already climbing down the roof; and luckily she didn't notice.
I slide down the gutter and I saw two little boys looking at me with their mouths laying on the floor. I just smiled and I soon hit the ground with a thump. I ran off while the boys were running out to see me.
"My momma is going to get you! And you are going to be in big trouble!" one of them yells. I just chuckled and ran faster and faster.
"Breathe, Emma breathe-"
BAM!
I hit the ground in pain and complete shock. My brain bounced around in my skull making my eyes a tad bit, blurry.
"Are you okay?" a familiar voice asked. I shake my head and Bradon was standing right in front of me.
"It's very strange how I keep on bumping into you," I say very emotionless. I fix my glasses. Bradon lets out a hand and I just gently push it away from me.
"It's pretty funny how I always see you running away from something," he says with a luagh. I looked at him with anger. His smile drops.
"I...I didn't mean it that way," he said apologetically. I shake my head.
"I don't care. I'll see you in science," I tell him, and then I walk away. Hidden from the world.
