A Surreptitious Geek (Chapter 3)

Sorry that I haven't really uploaded! But it just kept on rising so I just kinda waited ;) 102 and two chapters. Whoa, lol. But do comment, vote, and fan!!

 CHAPTER 3

     I walk back all soaking wet. My embarrassment bar was high, and my conscious was blown. I couldn't think, I couldn't breathe. My heart was the only thing working in my whole entire body. Surely people will be talking about this in school. So now I have to be super quiet. But, should I even participate in class? Ohh goodness! I'm going to die! Humiliation will engulf me for sure. And Jenna! Oh God, what about Jenna?! She is going to chew my skin off! I ruined their relationship! Well... actually, when you think about it. I kinda saved it, since Bradon is away from her. Partially.

     Familiar footsteps were getting closer to me. I turn around and it was Bradon. He was chasing after me, trying to catch up.

"Emma!" he yells. I stop and turned slowly. I surely need to grow some balls right now. I do not have the guts to talk to this popular, hot, sexy, muscular boy. I just blushed when he stopped on his heels.

"Hey, you left in such a rush," he says with a smile, still panting from the run. I just smile and turn my head away. My shyness surely was above me, as it covered my whole body like a blanket.

"Hey, you okay? The drowning really terrified me. I, had to come and make sure your okay," he says, putting his hand on my shoulder. I shake my head and I push it off. I do not approve of this "hand on my shoulder" thing. His smile fades.

"Can you talk?" he says, taking my chin and wanting full eye-to-eye contact.

"Yes," I say quietly. He smiles.

"Are you okay?" he repeats. I nod and I walk past him. He just stood behind me, as I walked away.

"W-w-wait! Where are you going?" he asks, rushing up next to me again. I glanced over. He still had that smile on his face.

"What do you want?" I finally say, getting the words out of my mouth. He stops, then I stop.

"What do you mean?" he asks. I look at him coldly.

"'What do you mean? Well! 'What do YOU mean? Huh? Just because you broke up with your SKANKY girlfriend doesn't mean you can just go to another girl! I am not some geek toy! You can't just be some kind of jerk to me! Got it?!" I say so harshly, I was like some kind of jerk like Jenna. And I felt so horrible that I said that.

What are you saying?! You LIKE him! I thought. I began to panic.

"I'm sorry! I just, always get picked on who is popular like you," I say apologetically. He cocks his head and he grins.

"Really? I hardly ever see you around. I surely wish I could," he says with a smile. I smile and then I roll my eyes.

"Please don't give me PITY! It is so annoying! I ain't some helpless hobo!" I laugh. He laughs to and then I make it to my house.

"I hope I'll see you soon," he says with a perfect smile. He pushes his brown bangs to the side and smiles. I just blush and run inside and slam the door shut behind. I lean back on the door and I fell to the ground on my butt. I sigh in relief and I closed my eyes to enjoy this moment.

You probably won't see me. You'll be with your friends. But, I will always be around to watch you, I thought. I giggle and I let out a huge breath of relief. I get up and I walk around, I noticed no one was home.

     There was a knocking on the door. I turn around and grinned. I walk to the door, but the knocking just kept on pounding.

"I'm coming!" I yell and then I open the door.

It was Jenna.
