 CHAPTER 5

School was here in a flash. Time passed me by. And walking into my science class made me catch my senses.

Bradon.

Dreamy Bradon. Handsome, muscular, Bradon. Popular Bradon. Popular...

I shake my head, making me snap out of the thoughts that my brain wrapped around. I clenched my fist and I sat down in my usual spot. Mr.Baines came in. His mind seemed to be focused on the papers. He looks up and one girl was about to sit down in her usual spot.

"Nah, nah uh, uh. Please get out of your seat. In fact, all of you out of your seat," he says, barking it out twice for the "badder" students in the class. They snarled and got up.

"Now the new chapter has come, new seats will surely arrive with it. That also means new lab partners. Bradon, sit up in the front," demands Mr.Baines. Bradon shrugs his shoulders and he sits down where he was told to.

"Um... Jenna sit next to him," he says, Jenna snarls and sits by him. Though, when you look deep down in her eyes, she wanted him. She wanted his grip. She wanted the feel of his chest hitting her breast. His amazing kisses. The touch, the smell. The wanting. Her eyes said it all.

"Um... wait a second. Get out of that seat. Emma, take her seat," Mr.Baines says, correcting himself. I held my breath. Really? This can't be happening. I can't be sitting by him!

"Okay," I say quietly. Bradon looks over and smiles.

"Hey, Emma," he says. I give him a small glance.

"Hi..." I try to force myself a smile, but it turns into a blush. He chuckles.

"You know, you can talk to me, right?" he points out. I nod.

"Than, talk to me," he says with his eyes boring a hole in my head with his stare.

"I-I think you don't want to talk to me," I tell him quietly. He grins.

"Why? We talked for a split second when you were wet," he informs. I shrug.

"I'm a geek, Bradon," I tell him without eye-to-eye contact. He sighs then turns away.

"You're gonna have to talk to me sometime. Don't isolate yourself from me." he says with a hint of anger.

"You are very persistent aren't you?" I say with a chuckle.

"You could say that, but I say it is a 'wanting' kind of thing," he says with a laugh. I smile then Mr.Baines began to teach his lesson. I began to write down notes until Bradon interrupted me with his note.

Talk to me some more. I look at him and I wrote him a note.

Why don't we learn first. I pass it over to him and he grins. I look around and then Jenna was looking straight at me. I turn my head quickly.

"Mr.Baines. It seems to me that Bradon and Emma are passing notes. During. Class," Jenna says with a snarl at me. My eyes went small and I shake my head.

"No-no we aren't!" I say with a scarce look. Mr.Baines grins. Then he points out the note that was in Bradon's hand.

"Bradon, what is this?" Bradon takes a deep breath, then lets it out.

"A note sir."

"A note? Hmm, well you know what that means," Mr.Baines says while grabbing a detention form.

"I passed him the note!" I yelled, taking Bradon's spot. Bradon looks at me and shakes his head.

Don't, he mouthed. His teeth were clenched and his eyes were forceful for me to shut up.

"You did? Emma than you lied to me?" Mr.Baines eyebrows went up in shock.

"Yes sir," I say looking down.

"Well, I guess you'll have to get a detention. Sorry to say, I'm quite shock that our best student gets a detention." I huffed then I got the detention slip. I sigh and I get my homework from Mr.Baines, then I grab my stuff and went to the Detention Center.

It was lunch, and I was supposed to get the food for the Detention Center. I grab the cart and I went down to the cafeteria. The squeaky wheels echoed in the large room. People looked over and they began to whisper as the gossip spread around the room. I took a deep breath and I grabbed the lunched and place one by one on the cart. I spot Bradon and I put them on quicker.

"Emma," he says sternly. I look at him then I looked down. I counted all the lunch trays with the school's food on there.

Five.

"Emma, look at me," Bradon says, grabbing my chin. My eyes caught his; but his were looking deep into my soul.

"Yes."

"Why did you cover for me?" he asks.

"Because, athletes shouldn't get detentions," was all I could say. I walk away, but his hand clutches onto mine.

"I'll help you," he says, grabing the cart and began to push it to the detention room.

"You don't have-"

"I will," he says, interrupting me. I sigh, and we both began to walk down to the Detention Center. By, ourselves.
