Chapter 4: "The First Race"

The Rokuyon was on the test track, avoiding obstacles and making cool turns like there was no tomorrow!

Kakuei: Who knew AI racing would be so cool?

Hidetoshi: Glad to see you're doing more than just lazing around and playing video games.

Wakumi: Yeah, you haven't been outside in a while, let alone attend school.

Kakuei: Yeah school honestly gets in the way of my free time. But hopefully since I'm an AI racer, I won't have to attend school!

Suddenly, the Rokuyon went off course, hit a wall, and fell off the track!

Kakuei: Gah!

Wakumi: Distracted again?

Computer voice: Laps completed: 1/5. Calculated starting place: 17th, moving Joseph Sim to 18th.

Kakuei: Seventeenth? Are you kidding me?

Kakuei moaned. A Hoverblock hovered up to them.

Hoverblock: Dokuro Kakuei, the race is starting. I would advise you to come.

Kakuei: About time! Let's show these guys what I can do on the track!

Kakuei picked up his Rokuyon and ran off. Hidetoshi and Wakumi followed suit.

Wakumi: Why do you always give no time for us to follow you?

Kakuei: Cuz it's cool!

Wakumi: No it isn't!

The three walked onto a cubical glass-like platform. The platform started hovering and took them to the racing arena.

Kakuei: This is - yeah I'm beating this joke to the ground now.

Kakuei hopped off the platform.

Kakuei: Get ready, you're about to see the next AI racing champion!

Several racers looked at Kakuei with a confused expression.

Some random racer: Did you drop in from Stupidland?

The racers proceeded to laugh at Kakuei. He got steamed.

Kakuei: THIS ISN'T FUNNY!

Every racer that mocked Kakuei was sent flying into the air by his yelling!

Hidetoshi: Have you gone overboard with your rage?

Kakuei: Dunno what that's supposed to mean but I guess.

Hidetoshi: Yeah let's go set your car down.

The three walked over to the Rokuyon's spot. From there Kakuei could see various AI cars with cool designs. He pointed to a white and blue one.

Kakuei: Eeeep! That's the Wind Force, which uses fast winds to increase its speed!

Kakuei pointed to a purple one that bore the number 8.

Kakuei: That's the Serval controlled by 2024 runner-up Tajima Toyonobu!

Kakuei pointed to a red and white one.

Kakuei: And that's the Aka Shogun, the first AI car to use AI 2.0 technology!

Wakumi: These names just get stupider and stupider.

Kakuei walked over to the spot where his car was to be put down, in seventeenth.

Kakuei: Eh, it's a start.

Kakuei placed the Rokuyon onto the glowing spot. He then walked to his spot on the control stands. The race announcer,  a blond-haired dude wearing sunglasses and a multi-colored shirt, flew down on a hovering platform.
