The drone carrying Carson arrived at a building with the "M" logo of Monster Industries (pretty obvious name for an evil corporation, right?). When the drone got to the roof, Carson hopped off it and tumbled through a chute into the room of the CEO.
Carson: Finally made it, Mr. Jones.
Mr. Jones: Wait, I don't think the ride was that long - nevermind.
Carson: Why'd you call me here?
Mr. Jones: Just letting you know that your brother Kane seems like a master on the controller.
Mr. Jones and Carson walked over to Kane piloting a car that looked like the Marine-Drache but black on a testing track.
Kane: Heh, this is so cool!
Mr. Jones: Now, now, Kane. I said that when your brother got back from his mission he could have the car.
Kane: Just two more laps!
Carson: I agree with Mr. Jones. Give me the car, now.
Kane: No!
Carson and Kane began to fight each other.
Mr. Jones: Penumbra! Get in here and sort things out.
Penumbra: As you command.
A girl with a black shirt and dark blue hair covering her eyes walked up to Carson and Kane, then formed two transparent purple cubes around the two boys' heads, choking them!
Carson: Gack! Okay, we'll stop!
Kane: Just stop choking us!
Penumbra snapped her fingers, making the cubes vanish.
Kane: Phew.
Penumbra: Seriously, can't you two get along?
Mr. Jones: Yeah, what Penumbra said.
Kane: But we're brothers! We're meant to argue!
Carson: Yeah that's the point of the trope.
Mr. Jones: I don't give a crap, I'm the one running things here! *sighs* You ever hear the tale of how I became evil?
Kane: Oh boy, story time!
Kane ran up to Mr. Jones.
Mr. Jones: It all started back in the final race of 2000 Slot Racing Championship Stock Car Division.
Flashback
Announcer: We're on the final lap, and right now, the Tomy AFX car, owned by Imaeda Tamasine, is in the lead! Behind him, Mark Jones for Star Championship Motorsports!
A red slot car bearing the number 22 was in the lead, followed by an orange and white car with the number 33.
Announcer: This has been an amazing season so far, with Tomy AFX looking to gain a back-to-back season victory!
Mark Jones' car tried to catch up to the Tomy car, but the latter proved to be too fast.
Young Mark Jones: Dang, Imaeda's good. Wait...
On Mark's controller was a red button about the size of a marble.
Young Mark Jones: Should I?
Mark pondered to himself.
Young Mark Jones: Yeah I should!
Mark pressed the button, making his car leap straight into the air, past the Tomy car, and land back on the track and cross the finish line!
Announcer: And in an unexpected move, Mark Jones wins the race!
The top three drivers walked to the podium, and Mark Jones was about to be given his trophy, when...
SCC Official: Wait!
The crowd gasped!
SCC Official: Mark Jones was using a modified controller and car!
Young Mark Jones: What?!
Announcer: Ok then. Star Championship Motorsports' win is invalidated!
The crowd booed and throwed stuff at Mark as the trophy was instead given to the second placer, Imaeda Tamasine.
Tamasine: Better luck next time!
Mark sulked.
Young Mark Jones: *in his mind* I can't believe I lost the championship. Again. Team Tomy is too powerful. I know. I'll try and ruin their career!
*End of flashback*
Mr. Jones: And that's how I came to hate Tomy Racing.
Carson: One, I thought that was the story of how you became evil, not how you came to hate Tomy Racing. Two—
Mr. Jones: Anyways-
Carson: Hey, don't cut me off-
Mr. Jones: The next AI Championship race is a speci bonus race. And the ASC chose Penumbra to be one of the racers.
Penumbra smirked.
Mr. Jones: Penumbra, take this.
Mr. Jones gave Penumbra a walkie-talkie.
Mr. Jones: I'll use this to tell you what to do in the race.
Penumbra: Got it.
Everyone stood in silence for a few seconds.
Penumbra: So uh, do I...
Mr. Jones: Oh I forgot. Wait can't you fly, you have magic powers.
Penumbra: Oh.
Penumbra closed her eyes, and levitated out of the building to the WAC arena. Mr. Jones smiled.
Mr. Jones: Soon. Team Tomy. Soon.
