Education is boring

Another day, another opportunity to learn something new. At least that's what Red Diamond told me. I'm starting to think that's a lie, because, I refuse to believe that someone can have so much information.

Sitting on a chair that had splinters I could hear Sensei talking, but I wasn't able to focus. I think that might be, because they are teaching boring stuff. Oh right. Sensei is a he as Red Diamond told me. Apparently things have genders. What a surprise.

Observing the presented material, I could only guess I'll have to know it by heart. Can't someone else do it? I can't see myself benefitting from learning math. Oh well.

Sensei did say that we are basically eternal beings, because of our unique structure that can be put back together if it breaks. Go figure. Does that mean I can just break myself and get put back together after 1000 years? Sounds like something I'd like to do if I can escape this thing called education.

From the corner of the unfinished wall that could fall apart any second, I can see Red Diamond looking in my direction. Do they wish to ask me something?

Red Diamond noticing that I saw them scurried away. Huh? Wait, why? I'd love to get taken away from this literal torture on my skin.

Refocusing my attention on Sensei he looked as patient as ever. How admirable. Did he even notice how I wasn't paying attention to him for a while? From the way the sun was shining down on Sensei, I couldn't even tell. He looked near falling asleep.

"Alright, finishing today's lesson you'll have to memorize these words." Words like a breeze fell upon me. Sensei didn't even blink twice and turned around to leave.

A croak tried to escape from my newly formed mouth, but stopped. Still that did stop Sensei as he started to analyse me.

Bruh. Is this the price you pay for your body betraying you? It was like someone took me by the strings and played me like a doll. If anyone did do that I would cut the strings and use them to choke the object in question.

Seemed satisfied with whatever he saw inside my flawless structure they told me to call a body, he left.

I sighed and tried to use my voice strings. All that happened was my throat closing up on me. I mean. They did say to not force it, because it might backfire.

Today I got to do a wonderful thing. Walking! My bro, my dude this is the worst thing by far in existence. Even studying seems like a walk in the park now.

My limbs twisting in every direction except how they're  supposed to be is stupid. Even I could feel the way Red Diamond was snickering behind Sensei.
I bet they thought this was funny with their shiny little head.

Sensei was like a few meters away from me coaching me like a newborn animal. How ridiculous, utterly ridiculous. Still looked stoic as ever.

Putting down my right leg in front me, I fell down and tasted the disgusting feeling of sand in my mouth. Trembling I got up again and this time, I put down my left leg. Surprise, surprise, I ate sand again.

Even Red Diamond was hysterically laughing now. Fluorite was nowhere in sight, apparently they like to be left alone to their own devices. Understandable. What I would do to be left alone right now.

I glared at Red Diamond making them laugh harder. At least their hair was shiny, compensating their lack of understand my misery.

This continued on for a few hours and for all this time Sensei was being a calm teacher that I suspect was sleeping and Red Diamond who was having way too much fun at my dispense. At least I learned to walk in a straight line for a few horrible meters.

Apparently food is a no go in this lifetime. I got explained that my body is so 'unique' that I feed off the sun so food can make me sick. What a shame, because I liked to eat sand and feel the crunch in my mouth. Still got scolded by Sensei for not listening to him.

I'm officially 100 days old and the environment is becoming something out of deepest depths of an ocean. The sun was shining less making me feel like I want to fall off a cliff. The magnificent shade of green on the grass was getting obliterated by temperatures getting colder. In that moment I decided I dislike the cold as it ruins nature's beauty.

I could see the way Red Diamond was more slow around this time. Sensei was sleeping more even if he tried to fool me in to thinking he was meditating. A foul attempt to redirect me.

Still. Even if the environment was getting tarnished by nature's natural course, I still had to learn a thing called history. About Lunarians. The most boring stuff I heard in my measly 100 days of being alive.

Apparently they pop up out of nowhere in the sky and try to steal our perfect bodies, because they're jealous and want us as jewelry. Crazy, I know. Another fact is that those crazy people only show up when it's sunny. I'm starting to think they are spoiled brats.
Sensei scolded me after that. I didn't even say anything, because I'm unable to.

So. Because of those lunatics called Lunarians, I will have to learn a thing called fighting to diss them and flex my superiority by killing them. That actually sounded fun until. Until. They said for fighting i need to manipulative my body and make it flexible as to not get hit, cracked or destroyed and get taken away to the moon.

If i had tears, I would have been crying. I still only know how to walk a few meters. Ya'll I'm suspicious about their brains.

As Red Diamond was sitting next to me like a pretty gem, they explained to me how going to the moon is a thing that I should make sure happens to no one. Well.... I can't talk. Did they expect me to talk back?

Their eyes widened a bit as their smile fell a bit and I felt my non-existent heart get beaten with a stick.

I pat their back and smiled at them to reassure their sad face. I still was confused on the fact about being taken to the moon. Nobody has gotten taken away like a sack of potatoes.

Sensing my questionable gaze Red Diamond took my long braids out and started to remake them, "Well, one day there will be born a gem that you might cherish and you wouldn't want them to disappear, would you?"

Seeing as I didn't get their point Red Diamond ignored me, "I wouldn't wish for you to go so it's a precaution Sensei is teaching us to live by."

I looked at them like they just stomped on pristine grass in front of me. So I bet they got confused when I bore my eyes into their pretty face.

Looking at me with focused eyes, "You know, I can't wait to hear you start talking." Their smile blinded me. Very cute.

After they finished messing with my hair they left with a small wave and a promise to come back very soon. How considerate of them, I thought.

A gem I would cherish in the future? Sounds interesting, I hope to experience a day like that soon enough.
