Author's note:
It seems that I haven't incorporated instructions on the story pacing.
1. "____________" - bigger time skips like a few decades or more.
2. " * " - a short time skip.
3. "//" - Author's note start or end.
Now that out of way have fun reading!

It has been couple of days since the predicament and it hasn't been easy. Sensei did teach everyone when we were newborns about the fact that Lunarians will hunt us and take us away. It didn't minimize the blow to our mentality. It only made it worse.
Red Diamond was away somewhere in the school, probably feeling shattered about the incident that occurred a while ago. But Sapphire sat in the recovery room and was currently trying to figure out how to repair the small pieces of Fluorite back together.
Moissanite not wanting to leave the blue gem alone sat near the wall to absorb the light. At least they had their hat on not blinding the whole population with their brightness.
Sensei did try to stop Sapphire from getting near the pieces of their friend, but jokes on him the blue gem died inside when the Lunarians disappeared making them immune to feelings.
"Are you sure, you can do something with those pieces? Fluorite is fragile so you being near their remains is worrying," Moissanite questioned curious about the pink pieces on the table.
It's almost as if they don't realise their fellow gem is gone. Nearly glaring at them Sapphire scoffed, "That's a lot of trust you have there for me. Who do you think repaired Fluorite on winter duty when Red Diamond crushed them accidentally a few times?"
A pause followed, "...Sensei?"
Promptly after that a pissed off Sapphire threw a bowl at Moissanite who barely dodged in time from the surprise attack which wasn't really a surprise.
"You might have to learn how to piece gems back together too. Since you don't have that much experience in this field," Sapphire explained when both of them calmed down which was mainly the blue gem.
"Would it really be useful? We're all high hardness gems," Moissanite tried to reject that statement.
Blankly staring at the gem Sapphire nearly died inside again. Maybe their memory really was as horrible as Sensei said which really is unfortunate.
"What?"
"Oh nothing at all I'm just realising some things about you," they stated with a Cheshire grin.
Squinting their eyes at the grinning gem Moissanite wasn't convinced. At least the repairing had progress since the hand was slowly being put back together.
"Do you always work so slow?" Moissanite wondered out loud while observing the other gem.
Sapphire looked up pausing their work, "Yeah? Something wrong with that?"
Twisting their hair Moissanite looked at Sapphire innocently, "So how long does it take to repair a completely shattered gem?"
Fluorite's pieces scattered around the grass flashed in Sapphire's mind reminding them of the event that happened dampening their mood, "Well the first time it happened it took me the whole winter to put them back together since I had minimal experience with a lot of pieces falling off. I even requested Sensei that I do it alone to learn. The second time I did it a few days faster so that's that," they explained while looking over the table and putting another piece back together.
