With one whole swoosh the Lunarian sunspot got destroyed leaving big uneven chunks of sapphire fall down in the water. At least they made it in time, thought Moissanite. Red Diamond was distressed knowing Sapphire fought Lunarians alone while Fluorite was somewhat indifferent with a little bit of concern sprinkled in.

As they went down the cliff to the beach to scout Sapphire's location Moissanite observed other gem reactions. They varied quite a lot, noted Moissanite since one was worried, indifferent or completely unreadable.

I do wonder what are my expressions on my face, thought Moissanite as they zoned out from what happened minutes ago.

Setting their feet on sand everyone was quiet as this happened to be the first time Lunarians attacked a gem, and already they got reminded by the fact there are predators that want their bodies.

"We can put them together this isn't that bad," with a trembling voice Red Diamond voiced out their opinion as they surveyed the area for any pieces.

"It seems we'll have to start taking our training routine more seriously from now on," Fluorite divulged clearly having priorities straight.

"Are they really here to take us?" Moissanite inquired to Sensei who was more or less ignoring every gem by staying quiet.

"Yes, that's true Moissanite. It looks like I haven't been careful enough to be able to stop this from accruing so this is my fault." Sensei without hesitation replied.

Weird flex, but okay. With blank faces every gem looked at Sensei. He seemed confused for a change of pace. "What?"

"Oh, nothing important, but how come this is your fault that Sapphire almost got take away?" Curious as ever questioned Red Diamond.

"I'm your mentor so the responsibility falls on me," calmly as ever Sensei responded.

"Now, we should get some anti-salt resin to safely get back Sapphire's fragments," Sensei furthermore explained to the three gems present.

When the anti-salt resin got applied to the skin Moissanite and Red Diamond went into the waves to gather the pieces while Sensei and Fluorite stayed at the shore in case anything happened.

Inside the ocean it's breathtaking, concluded Moissanite while looking around. The minimal animals that were in the water buzzed around disturbed by the force, but stayed harmless either way.

Going in deeper the light got dimmer, but Moissanite reflecting the light was more than enough to continue without a hitch.

"So.. what do you think about Sapphire?" Curiously Red Diamond asked starting conversation.

Looking around and seeing a small deep blue shard Moissanite walked over to it picking up the piece, "Dunno.. I haven't been alive long enough to know."

Understanding could be seen on Red Diamond's face. Suddenly both gems stopped to a body. Small shards everywhere, but not enough to break off a whole chunk off a limb slept Sapphire.

Eyes shining, "Seems we found them in one piece!" Red Diamond with an improved mood exclaimed. Moissanite nodded along seeing Sapphire in one big chunk, but noticing small shards everywhere.

"What did they even do?" Moissanite wondered while picking up the shards that were floating away.

Red Diamond's eyes dimmed a little while trying to pick up Sapphire's body, "No idea, but it looks like we'll be in for a while trying to piece this back together."

Moissanite agreed with a hum while catching as many pieces as possible in one go. It didn't get easier as the only pieces that broke off weren't that big to see from afar. Cue both gems coming back to the waves multiple times to collect the pieces until midnight when everyone had to go back.
