Exchanging Gazes

The next couple of days went by in a blur. But one thing that didn't were the feelings that Krist and Singto had developed for one another. Instead, Keist found himself missing his Phi more than ever and the exact same could be said for Singto. Just a day before Krist was suppose to resume work, he decided to go over and help at the cafe. This was something they did regularly. Every time someone had some free time on their hands, they'd help at the cafe because even with two baristas, three bakers and four waiters, the cafe always seemed to require more hands. Plus Krist also wanted to give his P'Nim a break for taking care of him so much the past few days.

*Krist's POV*

"Nong Angelica, they're asking for a decaf with no sugar and whipped cream" I told the barista.
"Coming right up!" Angelica responded in her sweet tone.
"Nong Kit, this is for you. Go sit down for a while. I know you just got off from a sickness, don't overwork yourself so soon again" P'Mai, the oldest baker of theirs brought me some brownies and a cup of milkshake. Aw she was so nice!
"P'Maiii, what was the need for this? But Khopun na, khab" I blew her a raspberry before going to my favourite place in the cafe.

It was a cabin but on the terrace. The cafe was two story and the top part was open-air. In the corner of it was a glass cabin with a wide open roof and elsewhere fully shielded. You could easily see who was coming in and out of the cafe from there and ever since, this cabin was made, it was an upstairs office kind of a thing for the owners and staff. I loved it.

As I was sipping on my coffee, enjoying the view and reading this new book I found, my eyes automatically turned towards some suspicious looking men walking in the cafe. Not suspicious as in dangerous but all three were wearing dark hooded caps and masks. They were covered in black from head to toe and they were also wearing dark shades. The disguise was so similar to that of Singto when he left to be in the public. The thought made my eyes bulge. Even though I thought it was impossible, I still ran downstairs at the speed of light to check on them. Quickly grabbing the menu cards, I made my way to the three who were seated in the farthest corner of the cafe.

"Hello, sirs. Welcome to the cafe. Here's our menu. You can check it out and let me know the order or if you want, you can go up to the counter and place an order yourself" one of the men, I noticed, froze when he heard my voice. I gave him an overall and couldn't help but think it was Singto looking at the physique but I couldn't just ask the person to pull his cap away "Can I help you in some way?" I asked, really hoping one of them, specifically that one dude, would speak up.
"Well, maybe Nong, you could get us your most special" the dude I had my eyes on, whispered lowly making me go shocked. IT WAS SINGTO!
"Oh My God! Phi! What are you doing here?" I hurriedly sat down behind him covering him with the menu "And- who is this?" I pointed at the other two causing P'Tay and P'New to quickly lower their masks and give me a view. Wow. I greeted them quietly and then went back to my previously asked question.

"We wanted to check out the cafe and check up on you" Singto's voice made me smile. An idea then instantly popped into my mind.
"Phis, get up and follow me" I motioned at them with my hand. On their way up, I instructed Khun Phi'Mai to bring her brownies upstairs and Nong Angelica to take their coffee orders from upstairs. I guided the others to the glass cabin upstairs.

"Phis, you can be comfortable here. And please tell me what y'all would like" I announced to them as they walked in. The others seemed to be wowed by the art that the glass cabin was, as well since they kept looking around. Tay had even started clicking pictures.

"What is this place?" New asked.
"Ah nothing. This is just a small cabin we made for ourselves so when any of the Phis or staff wanted to refresh themselves or just get away, they can come in here and relax. Plus, we also use it for our own sit-ins and plans" I informed them.
"A really good investment, Nong" P'Singto gave me a thumbs up making me smile "How are you feeling now though?" P'Singto continued, making his way over to me as I typed their orders in themachine.
"Ah Phi! I'm completely okay. I got better right on the day you guys visited me but everyone's been so overly concerned with my health. I can't wait to get back to work tomorrow" I couldn't help but whine making Singto chuckle.
"You must be a real workaholic as they say, Nong. Also, we got you this as a 'get well soon' souvenir. Sorry, we couldn't visit you earlier" P'Tay spoke as New brought out a cute looking black box.
"P'Tay! P'New! You didn't have to! But Thank you so much!!!" I felt overwhelmed by the love they showed to me.
"Go on! Open it!" P'New urged me so I smiled at them, nodding before opening the box. The sight made my eyes widen.
