chapter fourteen

" you hungry?" Asks four
" yea."
It's been awhile since we ate.
" McDonald's?" He asks
I giggle, " totally".
He grabs my hand and lay my head on his shoulder.
" what do you want from McDonald's?" Four asks me.
" hmmm some fries and a sweet tea." I answer
" sounds good." And he leans over and kisses me.
We finally pull into my driveway.
" you can walk me in if you want ." I say
He grabs my hand and we walk in together.
" hey hon!" Says my mom.
Four puts the crown back on my head.
" YOU WON PROM QUEEN?" She says happily.
" prom king and queen." I laugh and put the crown back on fours head.
" four you can stay for the news if you want." Says my dad
" So what did you want to tell me " I ask
"Well you know how you have always been wanting a little sister?" My mom asks
" Yea."
"Well we want you to meet her."
And a familiar face comes in .
" surprise!" She says
Tears begin to fill my eyes.
I run over to her, and all I can do is smile.
Kensey was always a little sister to me.
She was adopted by my parents because her parents were both killed in an accident.
" welcome to the family." I say
She smiles.
A few minutes later four takes me out to the balcony.
" thanks for an amazing night four." I say
" I love you so much tris."
"I love you too." I say
We kiss one last time and he heads back home.

Few months later:
Wow, junior year is over.
I'll be graduating high school next year.
As I finish getting ready for the last day of school I grab my bag and my phone.
I meet kensey downstairs.
" You ready to go?" I ask her
" Yup."
When we get to school I say goodbye to kensey and catch up to four.
" boo." I say
" ahh " he fakes
" hey there beautiful " he says
" hii."
Few hours later-
" SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER" yells will
I laugh .
" I'll see you guys tonight." I say
"Bye!" They say
Four gives me a kiss and kensey comes over with a bruise on her face and tears in her eyes.
I quickly pull her into a hug and she sobs into my shirt.
I mouth to four " get over here "
" hon what happened?!" I asks
She looks up at me.
" Remember when you stood up to those girls one," she asks
" yea."
" they shoved me and began to punch me, she shows me the side of her rib, "
That's why she was limping.
And she collapses in my arms.
" FOUR!"
He grabs my car keys and drives kensey off to the hospital.
As four drives I sit in the backseat holding kensey.
I hold back the tears from my eyes.

I could have just lost my little sister.
