chapter seventeen

last year I was the new girl and I'm no longer the new girl anymore.
As I get ready for my first last day of high school I put on my miss me shorts and my lace top.
I finish putting on my makeup and grab my bag, phone and shoes.
I head downstairs.
I see kensey sign her headphones in jamming out to music.
I laugh, "oh my god, tris you scared me." She says
I laugh.
"Ready for your sophomore year?" I ask.
" nope, I want to go back to bed." She says laughing.
" I was serious about that." She says
I laugh.
"C'mon lets go."
We pull into the school parking lot.
I take a deep breath and walk in.
In just 36 weeks we will be off to collage.
" hey babe." Says four.
" hiii." And I give him a kiss.
Just like last year we all have the same classes.
" Hey tris!" Says Christina.
" hey!" I say.
"Do you guys know what collages your applying to?" I ask.
"No not yet, but I'm thinking of some." Says four.
"Not sure yet." Says will
As lunch comes along seniors can leave but we all stay.
5 weeks later.
" kensey! Let's go."
We're going to go pick out her homecoming dress.
She comes running down the stairs.
" I'm ready!"
And we drive of to the dress boutique.
" how can I help y'all today?" The lady asks.
" we're looking for her homecoming dress." I say.
I pick out a few dresses for kensey.
And soon see comes out with a dress that makes me cry.
I try to hold back the tears, she's growing up too fast.
" tris, you okay?" She asks
I nod my head. " yea I'm fine." I smile.
Her dress is so beautiful on her.
A cream color with amazing detailing.
she picks out shoes and were out the door.
" so have you thought of a graduation song?" Kensey asks me.
" no, not yet but if you find any let me know." I say
" I will!" She says
1 week later:
I drive kensey to go get her hair and makeup done.
She looks gorgeous.
" tris, what do you think." She asks me.
" I love it." I say.
Once we get back home I help her get her dress on.
" wow, you look gorgeous." I say
" Thank you." She says.
" let's go downstairs."
I see four at the bottom of the stairs.
I pulls me aside into a kiss.
" Pictures!" My mom yells.
Kensey's friends all come around for pictures.
"I'll see you guys there!" She says to her friends!
"Bye kens!" They say.
" Tris!" Says my mom.
i head outside with four and my sister.
Four and I take a picture with kensey and then it's my turn.
" Have fun okay? Don't get in trouble."
I kiss her head.
Her date comes over.
they look so cute together.
" nice meeting you four!" He says!
" you too!"
And she's off.
