Chapter twenty

On the way to prom four holds my hand.
In my head I count down the days till graduation.
Soon we pull into the parking lot of where our senior prom is held.
We find Christina and will and ashley and Peter.
" dinner is served ." Says four laughing.
Dinner is just like last time, steak and some other foods.
Someone bumps into me,
" oh look it's you, the little slut." She says
People start to laugh.
" looks like your just like your sister, a little bitch." She says
And I run out of the room.
why do these things happen to me.
I pull out my phone.
" mom?"
" hi sweetie!" She says
" I need you to come and pick me up right now."
Around a minute later I get into my moms car and I see my friends run out and I just look straight ahead and wipe tears from my eyes.
Four's pov:
As I run out of the building tris drives away with her mom, why do these things happen to her?
" I'm gonna go find out what's wrong." I say,
" four, we know." Says Christina,
" then what happened?"
" tris was in line and a girl bumped into her and started taking shit to her, she said things to her and I tried to pull tris out but that girls friends didn't let me near her." Says Christina,
" her prom was ruined by those bitches." Says ashley,
The girl comes running out.
" oh good that little bitch left, four you can be with me now ." She says.
" hell no, and that bitch to you has a name, tris." I say.
" you think your being funny?" Says Christina.
" will your gonna hate me for this but hold my clutch." She says
And Christina punches the girl.
" that will teach you not to talk shit to my best friend."
And I drive off to find tris.
Tris's pov:
As I sit alone on the wooden swing looking at the view of the lake.
I look down at my dress, I slowly get up,
Thinking it will be the last time here, but eight before I jump, something pulls me back.
It's not a person, I'm holding myself back .
Thinking of the amazing memories.
I sit down on the boardwalk and place my feet in the water.
" tris?"
I look back sand it's kensey.
I force a smile .
She walks over to me.
" are you okay?" She asks me.
" no, I'm not."
And I can't hold back the tears, my head rests on her shoulder.
" you know, you've been my role model ever since I met you." She says.
" and your my best friend tris, the day you leave for college is gonna feel like the worst day of my life."
I wipe the tears from her eyes.
" mom told me what happened, tris, your so much more than that. And I'll be right by your side."
" I love you sis." I say.
She gives me a hug.
" oh and um someone's here to see you." She says
I walk up to the beginning of the board walk and four takes my hand and looks into my eyes.
" shall we?" He asks.
I nod my head.
We walk hand in hand down the boardwalk.
And we stop and the middle where the bridge is.
He takes my hand.
" I'm sorry, sorry that I left." I say looking down.
He lifts my chin,
" it's okay, and I'm sorry too."
I smile a little trying to hold back tears.
" babe, you can cry ." He says.
I place my cheek on his shoulder.
" I love you, you know."
I look up.
" of course I do, and I've never doubted you didn't ."
And he leans down and kisses me.
