Isabela mae
It was a week after Robin was found alive. I was sat in Lucas' office. I was collapsed in his big desk chair, my legs over one arm. My laptop was placed on my lap and I was typing away about everything I could possibly find out about the swans. I was listing some things Robin told me. Some things the two woman had mentioned. And any form of the evidence we had, like the throwing knife or the constant appearance of the swan drawing.
The swans are becoming more and more relevant in our lives by the day. More killings from them. They were killing more mafia people. They were trying to cause an amount of fear.
Things were becoming more relevant for me as well. Now that Lucas is mafia boss, and people left and right are trying to plan this big extravagant wedding, things are being brought to me as I'm his fiancé and his almost second in command. I say almost second because Luck is the second in command, but after last week people believed that I should be more involved. Actually, they wanted me a lot more involved, but Lucas said that he doesn't want me to get hurt.
Robin was locked up in a cell on site. We unwillingly feed him forcefully everyday because we need him to be alive because we still haven't got all the info we want out of him. I spend more time here than at home. Mainly because half the time there's people all over the mansion with cake samples all over the Kitchen, many different types of roses and tulips all over the place. Fabric makers, shoe designers, people constantly stopping me to try to get my measurements, or my thoughts on the cake. But quite frankly I didn't care. I didn't care if the cake tasted like shit or if the dress didn't fit me. Because I didn't want this wedding anyway. When I was asked if I wanted to be involved by Harry who's kinda the wedding planner, I said that I didn't want to be involved at all.
But now even after saying what I said about not caring. I went onto Google search on my laptop and searched up my favourite type of flowers. Those are the flowers I wanted for my wedding. And a beautiful white strapless dress, with beautiful white lace draped over the shoulders. That was what I wanted. For my real wedding. To the man I loved. But this isn't my real wedding, so I almost want it to be the complete opposite of my dream. That way, it almost doesn't feel real.
I slammed my laptop closed and gritted my teeth together.
I got up and placed my laptop on Lucas' desk. I opened the office door and walked down the hall. I wanted to leave. I walked into the bathroom and looked at myself in the mirror. That's when I remembered I was wearing Lucas' silk dress shirt. I had been wearing it everyday for the past week. Mainly because I don't want to see Lucas, but I still want to at the same time. The shirts feel and smell makes me feel like he's around. I haven't seen him but I know he's pissed at me. I went against him that night. It wasn't fair to him. All he wants is for me to be safe.
I wanted a break or something. That's when I had a thought.
'Jade' 'how could I forget about Jade'
I needed to find a phone. I wanted to call her and meet up with her or something. She was my best friend. Well she was. I kinda abandoned her. And school. I think there's only like two weeks left of the school year.
In stead of calling her I just got into a car and got one of the many body guards Lucas has watching me 24/7 to drive me to the school.
I got out of the car outside the school. The building was just how I remembered it. There was something different about the graffiti on the wall. I had all the same classes as Jade so I just had to find out what I had now.
I walked into the school and down the hallway. This hallway had my locker and Jade's locker was two lockers away. I could see from a distance that one of the lockers was decorated. As I approached I realised it was my locker.
There was cards, pictures of me and other people that were taken in parties. There were notes and messages. They all said the same things.
"Dear Isabela, I hope your safe. Everyone at Wishwood high misses you so much. If your still out there, we all hope you can find your way back."
They thought I was gone. That I dropped of the face of the earth. Now that I think about it, my dad probably set this up. Told the school that I was missing.
I angrily unlocked my locker and checked my timetable. I had History. I marched down the hallway and up the stairs. I got to my history class and practically kicked down the door.
That's when I went mafia bitch.
"Jade Gauntlett!" I yelled. I spotted her looking at me with both horror and happiness. I marched up to her with a smirk on my face. I grabbed her by her shirt and pulled her up to my face. "I'm back bitch."
