"Why are you here?" Elaine asked him coldly.
"Your brother and I-"
"He isn't my brother" she laughed.
"My son and I wanted to see you"
"Why? Don't you hate me?"
"We don't, we didn't ever. We never wanted to give you the life you got. We-we were stupid, we just-just ignored you presence when Drystan was born, I am sorry. I am truly sorry!"
"I don't see him" she ignored his answer "Or the prince doesn't want to see his-me"
"Well, he is..." The King hesitated.
"Or" she paused "-he is the king now. Tell me, how bad your kingdom is? What stupid things he did?"
"After you left, he became the king but what your actions did, the bridge had to be rebuild. Invasion happened in Vanheim and your moth- my wife" there was a change of expression on Elaine's face for a moment but she continued hiding it. He sighed "You probably know by now"
"She died and?"
"You don't care?"
"I don't care!"
He left. Elaine casted illusion to look as though she continued reading her book but what was happening inside her, she destroyed all the cell. The books, her bed and everything she saw.

"Love?" Loki called, his cell was beside hers. He could see her illusion but felt what happened through it.
"Y-Yes" Elaine's voice cracked "Yes" sh repeated, now, sounding normal. She stopped from she was doing.
"Don't do that. Don't think to do that. It will only hurt you" he said.
"I am just-reading. What harm can a book do? Unless, one throws it hard at someone" she joked to sound calm but she held a dagger near her wrist.
"I am the God of lies, don't lie to me" he said "Let me see"
"Here" she sighed defeated and removed the illusion.
"At least it is not what I imagined" he sighed but he could only see the cell's illusion being removed not what was in her hand and what was on her hands.
"I am ok" she casted the illusion again.

"I am sorry for what happened" Frigga said, her illusion was standing inside Elaine's cell.
"Thank you" Elaine replied.
"We helped Vanheim fight the invaders but our army was late, The Queen didn't survive. I was there, I saw her speaking her last words. She requested me to tell you that she loves you and she never stopped loving you. She sent this for you" an Einherjar brought a silver ball, size of a palm "It's for you, listen when you are calm." she left after giving Elaine a comforting, warm smile and a motherly smile.
Elaine signed the him to throw the ball in, he did and she caught it. Examining it, she understood that the ball was enchanted to record a message, a message one could only hear once, then the ball would destroy itself by disappearing.
"Let's do this" she takes the ball and was about to whisper 'open' but something changed her mind. She kept it aside and slept.

It was middle of the night, Elaine knew that everyone was asleep, atleast the one she wanted asleep was sleeping. She waited for the guards to go for a round. She brought the Silver ball to her lips and whispered to open it-
"If you are hearing this, it means that my wish came true. You are finally home, I probably won't be here. The invaders are more powerful than us, I don't have much time. Listen, I always loved you and I will always love you"
"I loved you-but I don't think I can again, after what you did" she whispered to the ball, it disappeared. She again casted an illusion and used some sound magic which The Former Queen of Vanheim taught her. She sobbed all night, crying for her adoptive mother, crying for what things she did, crying for when she used to cry to her sleep and once again Elaine cried to her sleep, this time with more sorrow than before.
