The Knight and Princess

You're a boy in a girls body (~2~)

Brook's pov

I started walking home from the castle, I can't wait to tell my parents what I'd done. My parents weren't as wealthy as Ella's or Jacob's parents so I'm quite surprised I was even able to enter. My parents knew how much I wanted to become a knight so they saved up enough money to let me enter the challenge.

I was tossing a coin in the air and then catching it until I heard a voice calling out my name. I turned around to see princess Ella running towards me in a pink dress that made her have to grab the hips of the dress so she won't trip or something.

''thank goodness you stopped, thought I would have to track you down'' Ella giggled while putting her hand out with a smile. ''I'm Ell-''...'' I know who you are princess Ella''I muttered while continuing my walk home.

''Oh okay well maybe I can walk home with you'' Ella insisted while walking beside me. I didn't tell her to stay or to go, but it wouldn't matter since she was too hardheaded to listen. Once we started getting closer to my home, we passed by a lake that had all different types of flowers around it.

''This is so lovely, our garden at my castle isn't as grand as this'' Ella says while staring into the field of flowers and then started walking into the field. I sighed before following behind her while she started twirling in the field of flowers. 

''Oh my goodness, can I take some home with me''Ella asked me while she looked up at me. I shrugged my shoulders and nodded my head. Ella started smiling before getting all the flowers she wanted.

I smiled at Ella while she was grabbing flowers from left to right. ''Can we go to the lake down there, it looks really pretty'' Ella asked while looking at me and I nod my head before grabbing her hand and taking her to the lake.

Once we got there I looked down at the lake before grabbing a rock and making it skip in the water. ''That's impressive, my mother thinks that's too disgraceful for a girl to be doing a more masculine thing'' Ella mutter while chuckling and removing her dress.

''I don't give a fuck what your mother needs to say about me'' I mumble while looking at Ella's slimmer body compared to my more masculine body, her body was filled with freckles and her blue eyes were clearer in the sunlight.

''Are you going to swim in that'' Ella asked while standing in front of me with her hands on her hips. ''No'' I mutter while pulling my pants down now in underwear and a tank top. Ella giggled while gripping my hand and looking out into the water. 

''We're going to jump on-AH'' I had pushed Ella into the water and jumped behind her. My hair had fallen out of the ponytail and I ended up losing my hair tie. I soon saw Ella jump from under the water and breathed heavily.

''How dare you push me into the water'' Ella gasped while moving her strawberry-colored hair out of her face before splashing water on me which made me chuckle. I splashed some water back onto her which made her tackle me into the water. 

''ELLA SOLACE GET OUT OF THAT FILTHY WATER''I heard a woman yell, but it was muffled since we were underwater. We both raised out of the water to see Ella's mother on a carriage and a pretty white horse. 

''I-I'm sorry mother'' Ella muttered while jumping out of the water and grabbing her dress before getting into the carriage. Ella's mother glared at me before leaving and I sighed, but I saw the flowers Ella had got but left since she had gone with her mother...'' dang it'' I mutter while grabbing the flowers and heading home.  

Once I'd gotten home my little brother ran into me with a basket of vegetables in his hand while smiling, but his two front teeth were gone. ''Did you make it sissy... I've been practicing with papa''My brother, Liam said while looking up at me while smiling. 

''mhm''I hummed while rubbing his head and walking off into our cabin. I saw my father scratching his head as if he was worried about something or confused. 

''what's wrong papa'' I ask while putting my bag down. He look at me before smiling and clapping his hand slowly, ''Well since you were able to become the princess's protector, you get to live with her'' my father said while smiling.

''Live, no no no...I wasn't told I had to live with her I didn't agree to this'' I hissed while plopping down in a chair. ''Honey we're getting paid lots and lots of money to have you living with them'' my father says while sitting in front of me and holding my hands.

''But, I wanna live with you guys'' I say while groaning and putting my head on the table. I felt my mother kiss my cheek softly as she rubbed my shoulder in a comforting way.

''I understand that you don't want to go Brook, but just imagine how thrilled you would be'' my mother beamed. My father shook his head as if he was agreeing with my mother.

''She's right honey...you'll come back''My father assured me while letting go of my hands and getting up from the table to go get something real quick. ''You better get a full tummy, you don't know what you'll be eating there'' Liam says while sitting at the table and looking at me. 

''I know..maybe rich people's food, but mama's food is way better'' I say which my father nodded before my mother laughed and handed us our plates.

''Yall are too kind, but eat up..the food may get cold'' my mother said while Liam and my father started to eat. While I was eating, I couldn't help but see my father eyeing my mother.  I mean my mother was beautiful, freckles scattered over her face, brown eyes, long brown curly hair that was now in a bun, and I button nose. So I understand my father. 

Once we were done eating, my father helped my mom with the dishes while Liam and I got ready for bed. When we were in bed, I lay there looking at the flowers my mother put in a homemade vase beside my bed. I smiled when I picture of Ella's face popped into my head, but I soon fell asleep.
