Third Person POVThe students of Ravencrown gathered in the gym and waited for the assembly to start. The school was celebrating Valentine's Day today since tomorrow was Saturday. Jake looked around in the crowd for anyone he knew. He spotted Alyssa and ran over to her. "Hey," Jake said catching his breath. "Hey, Jake," Alyssa replied, "are you ready to confess to Kenji?" Jake smiled, "You bet," Jake pulled out the white envelope from his backpack.
The assembly was starting and the students sat in the bleacher. "Hello, students of Ravencrown," Principal Ragenzaw said, "as many of you know, today we celebrate Valentine's Day. I'm sure you guys will have a great time today. When you are ready, put your Valentine's Day gifts in the person's respective box." Principal Ragenzaw finished his announcement and walked off the stage. All the students stood up and started handing out their Valentines.
Jake didn't put his Valentine in Kenji's box. He did this on purpose. He didn't want anyone to see him put the letter in Kenji's box. So Jake planned to hand it to him at Lunch. Jake went ahead and put the gifts for his friends in their respective boxes. After an hour and a half passed, all the students went to the lunchroom for lunch. Everyone brought their boxes to see how many Valentines they got.

Jake sat at a table with Kenji and Alyssa. He opened his box to see how many Valentines he got. Jake counted 12 items. 5 of which were from his friends, and 6 were from teachers. There was one envelope with no name on it, only a pink heart. "How many Valentines did you get?" Jake asked getting out his lunch. "10," Alyssa replied. "25," Kenji said after. "Okay, Mr. Popular," Jake said patting Kenji on the back. "Yeah," Kenji replied, "most of them are letters from girls."
Jake looked down and took a deep breath in. "Say, would you like to make it 26?" Jake said trying to seem cool. "What do you mean?" Kenzie asked. Jake pulled out the white letter from his backpack and handed it to Kenji. Kenji opened the envelope and pulled out the letter. As Kenji read the letter, his pupils dilated in happiness. Kenji turned to Jake and smiled. "Do you see the letter with the pink heart on it?" Kenji said pointing to it.
Jake opened the letter and read it. It was the letter Kenji wrote him. Jake looked at Kenji again. Both of them smiling. "I like you a lot," Jake whispered. "I like you a lot too," Kenji replied holding Jake's hand. Alyssa smiled, "I told you it would work." Jake looked at Alyssa. "You helped him with this too, didn't you?" Jake asked.
Alyssa nodded her head yes and the boys laughed. The three of them finished their lunches and packed their things to go home. Everyone got to go home early that day since it was a holiday. Jake walked home with Kenji, hand in hand. "Do you want to hang out at my house?" Jake asked smiling. "Yeah," Kenji replied, "that sounds great."
The boys walked into the house and took their shoes off. Jake and Kenji ran upstairs to Jake's room. Jake jumped on his bed then Kenji jumped on after. "Kenji," Jake said giggling, "you still have your school jacket on." Kenji looked down to see his school jacket. "Oh, it looks like I am."
Both boys laughed. "I'll take it off for you," Jake said taking off Kenji's school jacket. Jake threw Kenji's school jacket on the floor. "Thank you," Kenji replied snuggling up next to Jake. "No problem," Jake replied. "So I have a question," Jake said. "What is it?" Kenji asked. "So if we both have feelings for each other," Jake asked, "are we dating technically?"
Kenji paused and thought about it for a second. "I wouldn't exactly say so, we haven't even gone on a date yet," Kenji answered. "That's a good point," Jake said. "I mean, unless you want to go on a date. With me. Tomorrow. At the movies," Kenji said trying to be smooth. Jake smiled. "You're not very good at flirting," Jake replied, "but of course, I'll go on a date with you." Kenji let out a sigh of relief. "Thank God," Kenji exclaimed. Both boys laughed again.
This relationship was a special one for sure...
