Keigo and Bakugo walk in, your eyes snap to them as your hand covers your mouth.
Keigo keeps up his smile but inside he was just as broken as you. And seeing you so distant and not all smiles like usual made him feel worse. He blamed himself everyday for not being fast enough to catch your sister.
"I brought both of you flowers." Bakugo says smiling gently at you. Even though you kept pushing him away he'd always come back to you. Of course he did, he was your mate.
"Thank you Suki..." You say feeling guilty. You didn't mean to push him or anyone away, you just wanted to protect your sister at all costs. Especially after what your mother said during the call.
Bakugo puts the vases down on a table near the window while Keigo sits on the bed. Even though you trusted them you still felt the need to hold a knife to his throat for being near your sister.
Bakugo walks over to you and kisses your head. Your body relaxes some but not much, you need to be ready in case someone tried to hurt her.
Bakugo and Keigo started a conversation between the both of them. Something about the new hero rankings since All Might was retiring. You didn't pay attention to them.
'If Scarlet dies, the so do the rest of us Akuma's.' Your mothers words were on an endless loop in your mind. What did that mean? Why did her life mean that much to your family? You were losing your mind with all these questions.
"The library.." You whisper and both of the boys look at you confused. "Watch her, I'll be back." You say as you were halfway out the door.
You summon Fallen and reach Scarlet's house. You take a deep breath steeling your nerves and walked through the door. Scarlet's scent hits you like a truck. Tears start to prick your eyes and you shove your feelings back.
You walk upstairs to the library and walked through the door. You quickly take book after book off the shelf skimming the pages before moving on once you didn't find what you were looking for.
You use Fallen's tail to grab more books while you skimmed the ones in front of you. "There has to be something, anything to get her back." You say as you toss another book off the desk.
You reach a locked book and without thinking you use Flame's claw to melt to the lock and open to the first page. "Akuma family history.." You read and sat down reading the pages.
Akuma Family History
Long ago, before quirks, the Akuma's were once completely human. Once someone threatened the family and killed all but one, making her retreat from her own home into the woods. Once she was deep enough she dropped on her knees and prayed for anyone to hear her.
Something did hear her. An entity built of dripping tar, rotten flesh, bones, and dark magic. Appeared in front of her. It promised to help her survive and strike down those who killed her family. She didn't even bother asking why it wanted to help when she agreed to accept its gift. Pain went through her body ripping her skin as the smooth flesh was replaced with dark scales.
The entity had given her the power of demons and angels.
As you read the chapters what your mother had said to you made more and more sense.
Through out the years the Akuma's were said to be cursed with the 'gift' the entity had given them. Quirks were discovered not long after making the Akuma's blend in to normal society.
As you read one paragraph caught your eye and you read its sentences out loud.
"It is prophesied that two Akuma sisters will fuse their bodies and souls together to end the entity's life. They will fuse to create its daughter. Nephrite." You sigh out loud and see that the last chapter had been ripped out of the book.
