Layla will be Marc/Steven/and Jakes little sister. She was born a bit later since Marc's brother died. Marc's mom didn't let Marc near Layla because she's afraid he'll drown her like "he did" with Randall.
But when Layla was a bit older she talked to Marc when their mother was asleep or when she wasn't around.
When Marc left their house, but the siblings stayed in contact. The siblings cared about each other and Marc was worried if his sister was going through the same abuse he had but no.
Wendy was happier when Marc left and she bought the best things for Layla and loved her. Wendy still missed Randall but Layla patched the empty space when she was born.
When Layla was 18 she left and went to live with her brother. Wendy (Marc and Layla's mother) thinks that she's going to start her own business which lets her daughter go to make her proud.
