As November came, the warm weather was replaced by the cold. Mountains around the school became icy gray and the lake chilled like steel

Hagrid was down every morning defrosting brooms wearing layers of clothing, and Harry was going to play his first match on saturday. Gryffindor vs Slytherin and if Gryffindor won, theyd go to second place in the championship

Only people who has seen Harry play were the other gryffindors in the team and James when wood allowed him in the stands so he can learn more from the team incase he wants to tryout when there's space. However, many people found out Harry was playing seeker despite wood trying to keep it quiet, people began following Harry, telling him that either he'd be great, or that he'll fall off his broom

It was really lucky that James and hermione hung out more. He never would have got his history of magic homework done without her a she kept falling asleep in class. The boys also had penny help them with their potions homework, as snape hated the lot of them

Hermione was less strict when James, Ron and Harry broke rules and she had been much nicer. The day before Harry's first quidditch match, he, Ron, James and penny and Hermione were in the courtyard, James conjured a bright fire using lacarnum inflamari, a spell you learned from a book, hermione had it carried around in a Jam Jar James had bewitched to follow them all around

They were standing with their backs to it, getting warm, when Snape crossed the yard. Harry said at once that Snape was limping.

"I don't think we're allowed to put a fire like this guys" James says "let's try to cover it"

The quintet then shifts closer, with Harry in the middle. James, who's at one end, shifts closer to Penny. James then notices a slight tint of red on her face

Unfortunately, something about their guilty (and red) faces caught Snape's eye. He limped over. James was scared that snape saw the fire and cursed himself for not knowing the concealment charm

"What's that you've got there, Potter?" Snape asks

It was Quidditch Through the Ages. Harry showed him

"Library books are not to be taken outside the school," said Snape. "Give it to me. Five points from Gryffindor."

"He's just made that rule up," Harry muttered angrily as Snape limped away. "Wonder what's wrong with his leg?"

"Dunno, but I hope it's really hurting him," said Ron bitterly.

"I'd love to just stun snape" James says with a fist closed

The Gryffindor common room was very noisy that evening. Harry, Ron, and Hermione sat together next to a window. James and Hermione were checking Penny, Harry and Ron's Charms homework for them. Hermione would never let them copy ("How will you learn?"), but by asking her to read it through, they got the right answers anyway. However that was only necessary when James was busy, as he'd explain the answers for them

"No, Ron, the spell was made by Jarleth Hobart. He wanted to prove that he was the first wizard to fly so he made the levitation spell, tried to levitate himself I reckon" James explains "did you even try?" You joke

"Well, not really" Ron says "Would that be possible? To levitate a person?" Ron asks curiously

"Ron, that's a question here. As to which you said no, see you're right, in a way, it's impossible to use the spell to lift a person themselves, however you'd be lifting someone's clothes, so as long as they won't break you'd be fine. Wanna give it a go?" You joke

"No thanks, I like my legs the way they are" Ron laughs

"I promise I won't do things to your legs, maybe a arm, but that's it" James says
