Diagon alley

You scramble through your room, trying to find any spare money

"James!" Your mom calls

"Coming!" You say, giving up. You put the 2 galleons and 3 sickles in your pocket, all you could find "what did you need for school?"

You take out your letter and read

First-year students will require:
1. Three sets of plain work robes (black)

2. One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear

3. One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)

4. One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings)

Please note that all pupil's clothes should carry name tags.

1 set glass or crystal phials

1 telescope

1 set brass scales

Students may also bring, if they desire, an owl OR a cat OR a toad.

PARENTS ARE REMINDED THAT FIRST YEARS ARE NOT ALLOWED THEIR OWN BROOMSTICK

"All right, now remember, Diagon Alley. Very clearly!" Your mom says as she takes floo powder

"I get it!" You say

"Diagon alley!" Your mom says, she throws the powder down and the flames consume her. You take floo powder and clear your throat

"Diagon alley!" You say, you see grates upon grates as you feel yourself spinning around, but then you notice your mom. You exit at his grate

"All right?" She asks, you nod "come on, let's go to gringotts"

Timeskip

"Go get your robes, hat, gloves, wand and cauldron, I'll get your books, and James, be careful" your mom says, knowing you have a knack for getting yourself in trouble. You smile and nod before turning, you see Olivanders, the wand shop, you check your hand and see a decent amount of money, so you walk in. You see a brunette girl leaving with her parents, you accidentally bump into her

"Sorry" you both say

"si-" mr olivander says before clearing his throat "mr l/n"

"You know me?" You ask

"I knew of your father... clever boy... resin, 15 inches, if I recall correctly... you look a lot like him, almost expected to see..." he says before stopping "thought I'd see you here soon. Very well, I think I have the thing for you"
