"You ready for this?" Tony asks trying to amp me up. "Hell yeah." I smile and take my jacket off. "Elena are you fine here?" I ask her, resting my hand on her arm as I check her, she nods. "I'll be fine, thank you for inviting me." She smiles. Its match day, and Elena wasn't working and it's at Our gym so I decided to invite her so she can swoon over my good looks.
That was very stupid of me to say...
I shake my thoughts away as I warm up with Jacob. "Alright, this guys limping on his left but it's very faint. So try and go for his right side a lot so he has to put pressure on the left foot to dodge, and maybe collapses." Jacob explains and I nod.
"Elena, Darling can you handle blood?" Tony asks Elena and she nods. "Yeah! I want to be a doctor." She smiles like a puppy and I scoff. "No you don't." I deadpan with an unamused look. "Yeah you're right... my mom wants me to be a doctor. So I'm taking all the classes to be a doctor. But basically yes I can handle blood just fine now." She smiles and I laugh at how adorable she is.
She looks excited, she's got my hoodie on that says my name on the back. Is it weird how much I like her wearing my name? The announcer says we have 10 minutes until showtime. I put on my gloves and Jacob helps me warm up my perception with gloves of his own as he goes to attack me, but taps instead of punches. For every time Jacob taps me, I owe Tony 1 mile.
After 5 minutes I'm proud to say I owe Tony 0 miles. Thank god I hate running miles with him. "Fighters to the ring!" We hear and we leave Jacobs office to go downstairs.
I take my shirt off, leaving me shirtless. I catch Elena staring at my chest. "Elena darling, you're drooling." I smirk at her before Jacob puts my mouth guard in. "Huh? Oh uh no!" She looks down and the tips of her ears are pink and I laugh. "Alright remember, aim for the right. Make sure your punches are fast and hard." Tony lectured, I nod as I bounce on my toes.
"Let's kick some ass." I say and high five Tony and Jacob. Elena is still embarrassed and she just smiles and fist bumps me and looks back down as I go to the ring. I go to the ring and get in my corner and wait for the round to start. The announcer says everything that needs to be said but I just block it out and study this guy.
He's bouncing more on his right toe, his left swing is way slower that his right, his right eye is lazy, and he seems to have obvious fake outs.
Should be a piece of cake
We start the round and I wait for him to throw the first punch. He tries to throw a left hook but I dodge and hit his right cheek. He stumbles back but composes himself. For being a level 2 he sure looks like this is his first fight. I smirk at my thoughts and he looks angry.
