"Remember, if you don't do good on your finals, the rights of the company are going to Max, you loose your car, and you're going to the fucking military?"

One fish, two fish

Red fish, blue fish

"Are you listening Archer?" My dad scolds me. "Yes I'm listening." I groan and let out a huff of annoyance.

"Don't give me attitude. I'll take your car away right now. You're lucky you still have an allowance you good for nothing bastard." He insults me as I grab my backpack and my keys.

"Glad to see that you care about my well being and mental health." I mumble and close the door before he can say something else.

I sigh and get into my car. I turn it on and hear the engine roar to life. I put my music on before I drive off to go to school.

As I drive, I pray that Mr. Ekstrand has some good news. He sent me and Elena an email saying to meet him after school. I'm praying that he sees my final score and realizes that I don't need a Tutor, let alone that stuck up nerd.

I sigh as I pull into my usual spot that I paid for and I turn off my car. I sit and collect my thoughts before getting out to walk through schools gates. I walk up to Matthew and Riley who are sitting at a table talking

"Good morning Mr. grumpy? Did you mean mean father say something that hurt your feelings?" Riley notices my face and decides to comment that. "How's your sister?" I ask smirking and he groans knowing that she has a crush on me. I don't want anything to do with her since she's a sophomore, but it's funny to see how pissed off he gets.

"Talk about her one more fucking time I dare you." He mumbles. "Don't act all innocent Riley, you know how my dad treats me and you know how I feel about him and you still say shit like that." Matthew groans and decides to be the mediator. "Okay boys, let's calm down. Riley, don't mention Archer's dad, and Archer, don't mention Riley's sister. Problem solved!" Matthew states the obvious and puts his hands up in a celebratory manner.

He's the only sensible one in the group so he mostly mediates the fights. I shrug. "I'm cool with that." Riley mumbles something incoherent. "I'll take that as an agreement. Anyways, my parents left for Boston last night y'all wanna come over and chill?" Matthew changes the subject and I nod. "Yeah I'm down. I just gotta talk to Mr. Ekstrand after school so I'll be late." I huff in annoyance.

"Isn't that your AP bio teacher that has a junior tutoring you?" Riley asks. "Sadly." I sigh and Jenny comes up to us. "Archie!!" Her high pitched voice rings.
