How do you even fall in love with someone just by reading their letter?

Oliver mentally asked this question multiple times to himself. After he realized his feelings for his secret admirer, he frequently found himself thinking about the answer to this question.

He couldn't understand, how can he just suddenly love someone he doesn't even know? Does a person simply fall in love when they read the letters written by their admirers?

Oliver forced himself to look at his study table with several envelopes that were given to him by his annoying fangirls. He glanced at the lilac envelopes on his bed before breathing out shakily.

If he read all the letters from his fangirls, would he like them too?

Bracing himself he took deep breaths before reluctantly grabbing a random letter to read.

Well, maybe he'll get his answer after reading all of the letters.

Boy was he wrong. After painstakingly reading all the letters for nearly two hours, which he heavily regretted. Oliver didn't even turn to like any of them. In fact, he hates them more than he already has. The subject of the letters he red was all about his face value unlike V's who genuinely explained the traits they liked about him.

Oliver grimaced looking at the opened envelopes above his desk. He grabbed every one of the envelope and brought them down to his backyard where he lit a fire and tossed them there.

"Dude, your cruel..."his sister muttered as she glanced at his brother's relived expression after the letters were all burned.

"There not like V's anyway...."Oliver mumbled to which did not go unheard off by his sister who squealed loudly making him jump back in fear.

Once Oliver saw his sister's expression the boy ran to his bedroom and locked the door before hurriedly hiding the lilac envelopes somewhere from his sister.

Afterwards he ignored his sister who was banging his door like crazy and went to sleep.

The weekend have passed and Monday finally came. Oliver sat on the furthest table at the school's cafeteria while frowning. It was currently lunchtime and he was waiting for his best friend Blake to arrive.

Normally, they would go together but for some reason Blake texted him to go first to the cafeteria and he'll follow after doing something.

Oliver absentmindedly sighed, he leaned down to his chair and stuffed his hands to the pockets of his school uniform.

His eyes scanned the cafeteria in boredom until it landed on Valerie's figure who was talking with Maddie and Blake.

He watched as the three laughed about something as they approached the table. "Hey, Oliver! It's okay if Maddie and Valerie join us, right?" Blake asked.

"Hello." Valerie greeted him while Maddie stared at him with a scary gaze that of a predator. Oliver nodded in approval as the three sat down with Val and Maddie beside each other while Blake was beside Oliver.

He listened as the three chatted with each other about their ideas about random things. While listening to the three chat, Oliver can't help but glance at Valerie.

"....how about you Oliver?"

Oliver quickly averted his eyes and looked at his two companions who were looking at him expectantly.

"What?" he muttered.

The girl, Val only smiled as she repeats her question. "We were wondering if you also had someone you like? "
