"Hey Oliver I got you some cookies my– WHAT THE HECK?! WHAT'S UP WITH YOUR FACE DUDE?!"

Blake yelled, looking at his newly-arrived best friend. To summarize how much of a mess Oliver's face is. Yes, as in like I-never-knew-peace-relaxation kind of mess.

His skin color was paler than usual, his eyebags looked like those of a panda. He had dull and almost lifeless eyes.

Blake was shaking.

Never once had he seen his best friend look so terrible in his 18th year existence in life. If you tell him pigs would fly, he'd believe it.

Watching Blake make a fool of himself, Oliver deadpanned on the sidelines. It was so tempting to leave his best friend right now and pretend as if the two never met. How are they friends again?

The tired male sighed, deciding that he was too tired to deal with an idiot in the morning, he grabbed the hem of Blake's collar and dragged him inside their classroom.

Oliver ignored the curious stares and glances from his classmates. He sat down on his chair and continued to look like his soul had left his body.

"Woah! What the heck happened to your face? You look like shit." the two boys looked at the figure and saw Maddie, Valerie's best friend.

Maddie raised a brow before grinning. "Why not spill the tea first yeah? Class hasn't started yet."

Blake was smiling as he watched the other girl make fun of his best friend. "None of your business." Oliver said.

Oliver sighed, the person he badly wanted to talk to wasn't around. Noticing the change in moods made the two companions react to themselves.

Maddie was biting her lips in anticipation. "This is the tea that I've been waiting for." The girl thought.

Oliver stared at the wide track field outside while absentmindedly drumming his fingers on his desk. It was the last period of his class before dismissal. Oliver didn't paid attention to the teacher in front and was lost in thought.

Would he really confront Val later or simply return her notebook and pretend he never knew the girl was his secret admirer he was dying to meet?

He glanced at the clock and say that there was only 15 minutes left before the bell rang. Oliver sighed softly before going back to his thoughts.

He begun replaying the memory of when he had just received the first letter from Val. He was neutral about it with a hint of curiosity and amusement. He didn't know someone would write a letter to confess their admiration for someone while lowkey dissing them.

A week later the second letter arrived, he remembers himself feeling impatient since he still hasn't known who the secret admirer was. That was also the time he begun to look forward to every letter.

After a week of waiting, the third letter arrived. The time his admirer told him how envious they were of the passion he had. It was also the first time he meet with her eyes.

Then the fourth letter came, the one that nearly made him have a panic attack. Looking back, he remembered panicking about how he hasn't received a letter in two weeks. He even thought his admirer gave up on him. He could recall the amount of relief he had when the letter finally arrived.

He guessed that during that time he had already started taking an interest in his secret admirer without knowing it.

He then recalled how he finally found out about how he also took a liking to his secret admirer in reading those letters. Oliver liked the fifth letter the most since that was when his secret admirer told him how he liked his straightforwardness, that was often judge upon by several people.

An unnoticeable soft smile formed in Oliver's lips remembering the feeling of bliss when he read the following letters.

And now that he had an idea about who was his secret admirer, why would he waste his chance?

As soon as the dismissal bell rang, Oliver immediately packs his things and held the notebook in his right arm. He quickly dashed out the classroom and walked towards Valerie who was walking alongside Maddie.

"Valerie, can we talk?" Oliver asked the girl.

Val blinked twice before nodding. "S-sure."

"Can we talk somewhere private?" Oliver added when he saw the questioning look from Maddie. Val smiled before nodding.

The two decided to go to the back of the school where no students can be seen. They stood facing each other.

"What did you want to tell me Oliver?" Val asked feeling nervous and curious at the same time.

Oliver only gave her a familiar lilac notebook in reply which she quietly received with a thanks. He watched as the girl's breath hitched when she opened the notebook seeing the lilac envelopes inside.

Val eyes were wide open as she felt her hands slightly shake.

"Are you the one who wrote those letters, Val?"
