"They remind me a lot of my friend and I when I was their age." the driver flickered his gaze to the rearview mirror where he spotted Jungkook and Y/n who had both fallen asleep during the long car ride, their heads on top of each other, both in their own dreamland.

"I liked her a lot back then and my friends would constantly tease me about it. They would tell me how I should confess, and would watch us from afar when we were together, you know the good ol days when we were all young. But then she moved away, so we lost contact."

"That's unfortunate," Mr.Choi, the King's advisor spoke, taking a moment to turn and look back at the two youngers himself.

"He seems to be very comfortable with her." the driver commented, scratching his cheek where white and grey stubble grew.

"He is. They have known each other since a very young age, and they've been inseparable ever since." Mr.Choi added, a small smile tugging at the corners of his thin lips as he pushed up his glasses on the bridge of his nose.

He thought about the many times that he would spot the Prince hiding behind one of the historical armour statues or calums, telling him that he was playing hide and seek, and to not tell Y/n where he was. He was barely as tall as his hips back then, his hair fluffy, his eyes full of stars and much curiosity for the world. The young Prince could barely grasp the idea of being a Prince back then, yet rule a kingdom, but as he watched him grow and mature over his long years of working for the royal family, he knew that Jungkook would make a great ruler; one that his people would love.

Mr.Choi knew that Y/n had a large role in the Prince’s life, and that she had helped him shape into who he was that day. She was the one who showed him another side to his part of the world, one he wouldn’t be able to truly understand without her. "I'm just afraid that they'll end up being too close." Mr.Choi continued, a hint of worry hidden in his voice.

"As in, catch feelings?" the driver asked.

"Exactly," Mr.Choi answered, a sigh following right after. "I believe that His Majesty has other plans for the Prince, and I just hope that their relationship is nothing beyond friendship."

You felt drowsy, your body feeling heavy as your eyes slowly fluttered open. You could hear the hum of the car engine, the car slightly swaying before going over another bump. You were just getting the chance to be aware of your surroundings while you slowly grew more awake. The weight of something over your head had you trying to look up before realizing the body that leaned towards you from the seat right next to you.

A barely audible snore left Jungkook’s parted lips as he continued to sleep, his head still resting over yours.

Immediately, butterflies erupted in your stomach once acknowledging the extremely close proximity, making you awaken instantly. You wondered how long you both had been sleeping in that position for, and whether it was an accident or not. But you couldn’t remember ever leaning onto his shoulder, especially with the one seat that you had between you both so you could play Uno comfortably. Had he done it on purpose? Was it so you could sleep with comfort during the ride?

Your cheeks flushed pink at the thoughts that were running through your mind, not helping with the swarm of butterflies in your stomach and now your fastly beating heart. You were beginning to wonder if all the things that he made you feel were even healthy. You didn’t even know how much your poor heart could take all of this.

The car coming to a slow stop caught your attention, noticing that you were now in an unfamiliar place.

“We should wake them up.” you heard Mr.Choi say from the front seat, the driver nodding his head in agreement as he turned off the engine.
