"I can't believe you've never had McDonalds." you spoke as you both left the store, Jungkook chuckling right next to you. He shrugged his shoulders and looked up at the sidewalk ahead. 

"You know I don't leave the castle, like at all, so where would I get it?" 

"Fair point, but that's still sad. Imagine never having McDonald's. I should buy you food from outside more often." 

"I agree, you should." you both giggled as you walked up the hill on the sidewalk. 

Before leaving the store you both agreed to eat McDonald's since he had never tried it before. There was one nearby so you didn't see the need to drive there. 

Although you were still upset about not being able to get the dress, you decided to push your negative feelings aside, knowing that this was probably your only chance to spend time outside of the castle with Jungkook. 

"Do you want to eat in here or somewhere else? There's a park nearby."

“Um…” he tilted his head to the side as he thought about it. “The park? I mean I don’t really care, it’s up to you.” 

“The park it is then” 

You pushed open the door to the McDonalds and let the smell of fries and fast food fill your nose, your mouth watering. It already felt like heaven. Jungkook followed behind you like a lost puppy, gazing around the restaurant with his round doe eyes that were hidden under his hat. He looked around curiously at all the people who were either standing to order or sitting with their friends or families while eating and enjoying their food. He had only seen this in the movies he watched, and now that he was actually there, it felt so weird and misplaced. 

"I usually get the BigMac and medium fries with a drink, but go ahead and pick whatever you want." you pointed towards the screens that showed the menu. He nodded and looked up, going through the different types of burgers. Once he decided you both ordered and picked up your food at the other side of the counter. 

"Alright, time to go to the park." you said and he smiled at your bright and excited state, just as happy as you to try out the food. You both got into your car and drove to the park nearby, taking your food with you as you tried to find somewhere to eat. 

"How about those picnic tables?" he suggested pointing towards them as you both walked along the trail with a few other people around you. 

“Sure” 

Walking off the trail, you both made your way towards the picnic table that stood under a large tree with the park’s pond across from it. It was a really nice view, especially with the flowers blooming and the sun shining over your heads. 

“Alright, you ready?” you asked as you both sat down across each other, pulling out the food from the brown mcdonalds bags. 

“I’m actually so excited.” he answered and opened the box containing his hamburger “It smells good” 

He brought the hamburger up to his mouth, ready to taste it for the first time. 

“Aren’t you forgetting something?” you giggled while munching on a piece of fries, eyeing his mask. 

“Right, whoops.” he put the burger down as he chuckled, pushing his mask down under his chin, exposing the bottom half of his face. You hoped that no one recognized him. 

Jungkook finally took his first bite of the burger, taking a moment to chew. 

“Mmm.” he moaned, leaning back “this is so good”

“Now, now, you might not be in the castle, but that doesn’t mean you can speak with food in your mouth.” 

He shot you a playful glare before taking another bite, savouring the delicious taste.
