I stare at Alex with wide-eyes until I realize I haven't apologized, then I snap out of it and quickly say, while stuttering a bit, "Oh my gosh, I..I'm so sorry Mr. Gonzalez I didn't see you there. I'm really sorry."

He stares at me, as if to make sure that I'm not lying. While I'm staring at him I notice he looks surprised, then his facial expressions soften a bit. Suddenly he lifts his hand, and I start panicking and flinch back, until I notice he was just grabbing some paper towels that were behind me.

I suddenly feel stupid, especially now that Alex is staring at me weirdly, probably for flinching when he lifted his hand.

"It's ok, I'm sorry for yelling at you. It's my fault for getting behind you when you were about to turn around." He's still looking at me quizzically, but I gape at him as he says those words.

I'm very surprised that he's taking the blame, although I'm sure we both know it's mostly my fault.

"No, Mr. Gonzalez it's-"I start until he cuts me off.

"Raven, I told you to call me Alex. And don't blame yourself, I saw you turning around and I still went to stand behind you, so it's my fault." His eyes kept going from me to Luis and I knew he was thinking something else, while talking.

"I'm still sorry Alex.. By the way this is my best friend Luis, Luis this is one of my clients, Alex." I introduce them, and they just nod at each other, I also think I saw a flash of hurt on Alex's face, but it must've been the dim lighting.

"Raven?" Luis asked.

"Yes?"

"Im gonna go look for my target." He said with a cheeky grin, I just start laughing and say a quick "see you later" then he's gone. That's when I notice he left me alone with Alex.

It gets awkward after a bit, and I'm thinking about breaking it, but he beats me to it. His shirt being soaked from my coke being long forgotten, he asked me the one thing I never expected him to ask me.

"Would you like to dance?"

"I'm not much of a dancer.." I reply.

"Please." I'm surprised there's actually a bit of pleading in his voice.

"Ok, just for a couple of songs." His face lights up and he grabs my hand and takes me to the dance floor, we dance to a couple up beat songs, then a slow song starts, and my face heats up slowly, recognizing the song by Trey Songz. One love.

Alex pulls me close to his body, and tells me to follow his lead while the song goes on around us.

"So many people never find the one
That's why I really wanna tell you somethin'
I really think this is it for me.

Really think you're the one I need
'Cause baby I done had 'em all
I don't want nobody but you."

I'm surprised how well Alex dances, but I know I shouldn't be, since he's a billionaire and probably has to go to a lot of dances to make an appearance of some sort. I'm also surprised that I'm enjoying his company. Also, being in his arms has a sort of rightness to it, and I actually feel safe. Something I haven't really felt in a long time.

"Baby, here I am (here I am)
I'm your man (I'm your man)
I came with everything you needed
You and me are undefeated.
Till the end of time
One mind, one heart, one love

All you gotta do is..

Take my hand (take my hand)
We will stand (we will stand)
This was made to last forever,
So let's say it together for the rest of time
One mind, one heart, one love."

"Are you ok?" Alex leans down to my ear and asks me, while still holding me gently.

"I'm fine, this song is just really great." I reply honestly.

"I was worried, I thought I heard you sniffing so I thought you were crying." He gives me a little grin, and I chuckle at that.

"No, nothing's wrong." I surprise myself by saying that, because I actually mean it.

"This love is hard to find
But love is one of a kind
And I got mine
So if you got yours
Then you know what your livin' for

This goes out to all my lovers tonight
And if you listenin' to my groove,
And your baby's next to you
Tell 'em..

You are all I need and I'll never let go,
(yeah baby)
You are all I need and I'll never let go
(never let go of you)."

As the song starts drawing to a close, we start drawing a part, but only a bit. We're both staring at each other, he slowly starts leaning down and our lips are almost touching, when I push away from him.

Flustered I quickly mumble, "Thanks for the dances they were fun, but I gotta go.. you know because of work tomorrow.. it's late.. and yeah bye." I make a quick exit not bothering to look back, because I was embarrassed.

At some point I make it home, and I throw myself onto my bed and wish I were like those people that when their head hits the pillow they're already asleep, sadly that's not me.

So I get up, walk to my bathroom, take a quick shower, put my pajamas on, and lay down on my bed again. I'm hoping Alex won't show up for training tomorrow, because today was an embarrassment. I slowly start falling asleep, and I thank God that this day is finally over.
