I've been full on at work this past week, and I keep thinking about how many more clients we've gotten just because Alex owns my gym.

It's Friday, and when I got home from work my fridge and cupboards were empty, so now I'm at a grocery store.

I always pass the magazine section, and today's no different. Except for one certain magazine.

"Alex Gonzalez from Gonzalez Inc. seen with famous model Lucinda Brown. Are these two celebrities finally together?" I mutter under my breath, reading the title.

I flip through the magazine, while a strange emotion surges through me. Once I finish the magazine I toss it back to where I found it and go pay for my groceries, totally ignoring the strange feelings.

I head to my Mustang, my head down and earbuds plugged into my iPhone, with my hands full of grocery bags, I didn't notice him standing next to my car.

"...Raven! Raven!" I faintly, but surely, hear my name being called over my music.

I look up and I'm met with his ice-blue eyes. I take out my left earbud and say, "Hey Alex, did you need something?"

"Do I have to need something in order to talk to you?" Alex questions.

"No..."

"Anyway, I just wanted to know if you would go with me to see a house that's under construction."

"No offense, Alex, but why would I want to see a house under construction?" I ask slightly confused.

"It's the house you designed, I just wanted you to see its progress so far. Make sure it's the way you wanted it." Alex says.

"Um.. Sure. But first I have to go to my house and put away the groceries."

"Ok, I'll follow behind you." He then turns away and walks toward a silver Toyota.

I shake my head at the different cars he has and get into my Mustang after putting the groceries in the trunk.

I'm at my apartment in no time and putting the groceries where they go, I grab a bottle of water and head down to the lobby where Alex is waiting.

"You ready?" Alex asks, once I'm beside him and were walking out of the lobby.

"Yeah." I reply.

Once we arrive at the construction site, we get out of my truck and head closer to the house. The neighborhood we're at look expensive and I can tell Raven feels a bit uncomfortable.

"You alright?" I ask her.

"Fine." She replies.

I look over at her and see she's looking curiously at the house she created.

"Want to get a closer look?" Raven just nods her head and just walks up toward the house not bothering with a hard hat. "Raven, wait!" She turns her head towards me and gives me a confused look. "You need a hard hat." I say awkwardly.

She gives me a small smile while shaking her head. "My step-dad used to be an electrician, sometimes during the weekend my family used to go with him to construction sites to help him. It's alright, I don't need a hard hat." She then turns around and keeps walking towards the house.

I follow behind her, leaving the hard hats behind.

I reach Raven as she looks around the entryway, surprise and disbelief in facial expressions.

"Want a tour?" I ask.

Raven shrugs her shoulders and nods once. I take her hand, but she quickly yanks it out of mine and just gestures for me to lead the way, her expression closed off.
